Review: Taming My Whiskey (The Whiskeys: Dark Knights at Peaceful Harbor #6) by Melissa Foster

TAMING MY WHISKEY

When the man she's crushed on for years corners Dixie Whiskey at her bar and asks her to be the face of his new line of clothing, she doesn't even consider it. Why? Because she refuses to be the second or third choice, to be anything other than anyone's first choice. All she wants is the kind of love her brothers have all found, the kind of love her parents, Biggs and Red, share. Is that honestly too much to ask?

It just might be too much, though, to ask of Jace, the man who doesn't make promises, who refuses to settle down and plant some roots. Sigh... But Jace is having a really, really hard time getting Dixie out of his mind after they spend some time together. Can he man up and give her his heart? Even though it's not something he's ever wanted to do in the past? Even though her VERY PROTECTIVE, BIG AND BURLY brothers might pound him into dust for daring to mess with their baby sister?

Dang can I relate to Dixie! I don't have more than one overprotective af brother, but one is enough, and he made dating and finding love very difficult for me. I had to find a guy literally hundreds of miles away 🤣 Dixie, she's a warrior queen, though, and she knew she deserved nothing but the best, nothing but to be loved and put first, and she made Jace (and her brothers too!) put in the work, and I absolutely LOVE that about her! Although I haven't read any of the other stories in the Whiskeys: Dark Knights at Peaceful Harbor series, I fell in love with them all here, and am now looking forward to reading Quincy's upcoming story, and all the previous ones.

Review: Waiting for You by Kate McBrien

Review of Waiting for You by Kate McBrien Justin and Lucy are apart, but for how long? Lucy's staying with her parents, but knows she needs to get out and start living her life again. But when she gets a chance to go to London, it just may be her chance to reunite with the man whose soul has been entwined with hers for centuries upon centuries. But first, our two fated lovers will have to not only reunite, but stay together, beat the odds and the people and/or forces who are trying to keep them apart. Waiting for You is a great followup to Discovering You. Justin and Lucy's story is exciting and passionate, and the mystical/fantasy/paranormal aspect just adds another interesting layer to their already wonderful connection. I normally don't read a lot of paranormal/fantasy/sci-fi romance anymore, but I loved it here in Waiting for You. It's subtle, but ever present and as I said, just makes their story all the more intriguing. I can't wait for the conclusio...
