Trouble, an exciting new erotic romance by Colet Abedi.
I’ve been watching you.
I feel like I’ve been watching you forever.
It started as revenge. You were a means to an end, a way to pay your father back. To avenge my sister. Her death. Her life.
But it turned into something else.
An obsession.
An addiction.
Dangerous. Unwanted. But, maybe, inevitable.
And so here we are.
I’m sorry, Kerri… I didn’t want this.
I didn’t want to shatter you.
But you should know...
You make me weak.

MY REVIEW
When Trouble comes for Kerri, she lets him in and gives him the power to destroy her. She doesn't know he's been obsessed with her, obsessed with his need for revenge for so long. And she doesn't know she's the key to that revenge. Will he actually follow through with his plan is the question, though.

Ultimately, I can say I enjoyed this story. It's beyond sexy, it's intense and really entertaining reading. I never found myself liking Trouble, though. He's a serious asshole, what happened with his sister doesn't excuse his asshole personality, but I like Kerri and the story itself.

Excerpt
Sometimes you meet someone, and they own your soul from the moment your eyes touch.
Sometimes they turn out to be everything you want them to be, surpassing even your greatest expectations.
But sometimes, it’s all a lie.
Every move.
Every conversation.
Every touch.
The spell that grabbed you, trapped you in its erotic, painfully beautiful, dark-dark web, was nothing but a dream.
That’s how I’d describe it. How I’d describe him.
Trouble.
turn up the volume. Neil Young’s haunting voice echoes in my car as I speed down California’s infamous Pacific Coast Highway. “Harvest Moon” speaks directly to my soul.
It’s late in the night, and the dark ocean stretches out into oblivion beside me. I don’t think I’ve ever felt so empty. Or alone.
I don’t want to cry. I can’t cry.
I’ve survived much worse. So much worse.

I won’t let him be the one to destroy me. Not him. My hands clench the steering wheel as I fight to stay strong.
He was supposed to protect me.
He said he always would.
I thought he loved me. I thought that after years of emptiness, I made him feel whole again.
But he was lying.
About everything.
Every word. Every moment. Every touch.

It was all a lie.
He played me from the moment we met.

Review: One Little Lie by Whitney Barbetti

Review of One Little Lie by Whitney Barbetti ONE LITTLE LIE Hollis is a good girl with a crush on a broody musician. Unfortunately, that boy, Adam, hates her. Why? Because the chip on his shoulder leaves him thinking good girl, rich girl Hollis is a lemming like everyone else in their small town. Which makes it even more unfortunate when years after their high school encounter, Hollis' best friend tries to stick up for her and ends up telling her parents that Adam is the the boyfriend Hollis doesn't actually have. Oops. How will Hollis ever convince Adam to go along with her little lie? I really liked One Little Lie. Hollis is a really naive girl, but she has such a huge heart that I couldn't help but fall in love with her spirit. She's so sweet, so compassionate, the kind of person this world needs more of. Adam, on the other hand, eh, he didn't do much for me. His chip on the shoulder, broody asshole attitude did nothing to endear me to him, but because H...

Coming back to my small Wyoming hometown was supposed to be temporary. I only planned to stay long enough to help my ailing mother and sort through the mess of my family’s old belongings. Instead, I somehow ended up living in Evan Ricci’s house. The single dad now owned a bunch of properties and one of them was the place I’d rented. He’d taken it off the market and moved in before I got there. I just never got the memo. Unfortunately, there was no other place in town available, so Evan let me stay. Evan—the guy my parents took in years a...
