Fame.
I didn't ask for it and I didn't want it. After nearly two years in the spotlight, I've learned that fame has a way of changing how the world sees you.
I didn't ask for it and I didn't want it. After nearly two years in the spotlight, I've learned that fame has a way of changing how the world sees you.
Somehow, my reputation had been tarnished and my manager was convinced a journalist was what I needed to show the world who I truly was.
But just like fame, I didn't ask for my story to be told. My secrets were secrets for a reason. Not even a journalist could dig deep enough to expose what I've fought so hard to protect.
Only this journalist isn't a stranger. She's the one woman I vowed to never see again. She's the one woman who saw me for who I really am.
And damn, if karma didn't have one twisted sense of humor.
MY REVIEW
Lane and Spencer's hot one night stand was supposed to be just that - one night. But now she's faced with the man who snuck out of her bed and he's the rockstar she's supposed to follow around on tour and get his life story out of him. How's that possibly going to work when Spencer is about as open as a rock and Lane's still hurt he snuck off before she woke up?
I gotta say - I've read a lot of rockstar romances, and they all tend to follow the same formula, and so did this one, but it does it well. Lane and Spencer aren't shallow, one note characters, rather, they feel real and human suffering from the same vulnerabilities and pain that all of us do. It helped give this story an edge over the typical shallow fluff that most rockstar romances tend to be. I hope this author plans on writing more rockstar romances, because this one is great.
