SURPRISE!
Hate the Player, a slow burn and hilarious romantic comedy from New York Times bestselling author Max Monroe is LIVE EARLY!
“Roses are red, violets are blue, stay away from Andrew Watson’s *ahem* because no other women ever do.”
That’s quite the way to start a conversation at a casual lunch, huh? Grilled chicken, French fries, and pelvic-fatigue, oh my!
And that’s not even the worst of it.
My friend Raquel didn’t pull any punches when she warned me about my brand-new co-star and his notoriously player-esque ways. Apparently, my most important mission on my first role in a feature film is to stay immune to his charms.
Are you kidding me? Production costs on this movie are in the hundreds of thousands a day, and staying away from a panty-whispering, vajayjay-charmer is supposed to be at the top of my list? Pfft. Puh-lease.
It doesn’t matter that he’s annoyingly attractive, uber rich, crazy famous, and lusted after by ninety percent of the female population; Andrew Watson is trouble with a capital T—especially for a woman like me.
As a preventative measure, I’ve decided to go ahead and hate him.
Don’t worry, you guys, I’m completely in control. There’s absolutely no way I’m going to do something stupid like fall in love with him.
I can hate the player but still secretly love his addictive game.
I’m sure of it.

MY REVIEW
Birdie's been suitably warned off playboy Andrew Watson, the man who will be her costar if she nails her first audition. She's not too worried about him, though, she's more worried about making a fool of herself in front of all the Hollywood people, making her brother-in-law look bad for recommending her and getting her the audition. But then this annoying guy in the waiting room drives her so bonkers it riles her up so much that when the two of them (yes, of course he turns out to be Andrew Watson), read for their scene, let's just say, it doesn't go so well... Did the player just ruin her first (and last most likely) chance at Hollywood?!For some reason, Andrew cannot stop himself from riling up this gorgeous firecracker. That she reacts so intensely to him is beginning to become his obsession. He can't the spitfire out of his mind. That he and she are filming a movie together is just the perfect setup for him to make his move. He just has to get her on the same page. But will she want to be public, if it means letting her adoring fans in Nashville in on them? Is he not good enough for the country sweetheart?
Oh my God, but I freakin love Birdie and Andrew together!! They are definitely Max and Monroe's funniest, snarkiest, craziest couple to date. Combined with their insanely hot chemistry just put Hate the Player on my list of this awesome duo's best couples. I haven't laughed this hard while reading in probably forever, my Kindle was practically on fire because they're so hot together, and Luca and Billie (Taming Hollywood's Baddest Boy) and Rocky and Harrison (Winning Hollywood's Goodest Girl) are in it so I was even more entertained by this sexy, hilarious and witty love story.
