MY REVIEW

What happens when a one night stand turns into more? What happens when feelings develop? Feelings neither is prepared for? Feelings it appears one does not want?

Blaire's a driven attorney, always fighting for her clients' rights. She's a workaholic who hasn't dated hardly at all in her lifetime. Yet one gorgeous suit taking her to dinner, albeit one he practically had to beg her for, and suddenly she's having a seriously sexy one night stand with the man. What's she thinking? Or more like, what is she thinking with...

But what was originally just one night somehow turns into an arrangement that has her staying with him. But just for awhile. Because she has a life far from Holt, and Holt can't (won't) leave his life either.. Even if feelings develop, they won't go anywhere because they can't.

No!!!! That's what I was thinking as I read the last word of Restraint, because though Holt and Blaire got an HFN, they most definitely left things a little abruptly and without an epilogue. I want a lot more about them. I want to know for sure they're happily in love and stable in their future, and I didn't get that by the end of Restraint. I do know there's more to come in Holt's brothers' stories, though, and maybe even more from Blaire's brothers (The Gibson Boys), so perhaps, hopefully, they'll get their well-deserved happy ever after in an upcoming story.
