Damon's sister has the perfect solution to his current problem: have her friend, private investigator, pose as his girlfriend so she can blend into his football world in order to find out who set him up. Damon knows he hasn't been taking illegal drugs, now he's been suspended and fined, all while suffering from a severe concussion sustained during his last game. And now his sister has the brilliant idea for her best friend and soon to be sister-in-law, tomboyish to the extreme, pose as his girlfriend to investigate?! Not, nope, no. Until she shows up looking like his dream come true in heels and a slinky dress. Boy did he have her pegged wrong. Now he just has to keep his hands to himself and remain professional...


Evie and Damon will soon come to see that neither is quite what each had thought. Evie may dress in non-designer wear, without a stitch of makeup on her face most of the time, but she's intelligent and quick thinking and genuine. How could Damon have thought she wasn't his type, wouldn't fit into his world?! Damon too is not the thickheaded jock she had thought. He is fiercely protective and loving, and takes his sport and his teammates seriously, definitely not the dumb jock she had assumed. Will their newfound views of each other combined with their attraction make a fake relationship into a real one?


This is a sizzling installment in the already awesome Dare world. I love how neither of them is quite as expected, yet is perfect for the other. I love the entire Dare family, and Damon and Evie's story is yet another reason why.
