Review / Release Blitz: The Devil's Crown (The Devil's Crown #2) by Monica James

THE DEVIL’S CROWN
PART TWO
Monica James
With the enemy dead, my throne awaits my return. But the reason I’m still standing is being held captive by another foe.

I’ll move heaven and hell to find her, but when I do, everything changes forever. Ella is broken, broken because of me.

The only way to save her is to return to the ruthless leader I once was.

A war has been waged, and to win, I need to kill every last traitor and rebuild my kingdom to make her feel safe once more.

However, this war is like no other. And my enemy won’t stop until one of us is dead. But he doesn’t stand a chance. None of them do.

I’m a bad man. And I’m okay with that.

This is my world.

My rules.

I’m the goddamn king, and it’s time to adjust my crown.

MY REVIEW
Alek will get his woman back, and when he does...those who took her will pay the price for taking what's his...

He will do whatever is necessary once he's got her back to right his empire, to make the rest of the world bow down to him. It means taking out his enemies, putting the fear of God in them, and proving he's king once again. And in the comforts of his own home, he vows to make up every day for bringing Ella into his dark, dangerous world, and to love her til his last breath, her, and his family.

"This is my world. My rules. I'm the motherfucking king, and it's time to adjust my crown."

I've read (and loved) a lot of Monica's dark romances filled with tortured heroes and strong, amazing heroines, but I am laying it all out and saying in Alek and Ella, she's written her best couple to date. Their story is everything I look for in a dark romance - gritty, intense, and sexy, with a king of a hero who takes no prisoners outside his home, but to his queen only, he shows his vulnerable side, showers her with his love. Yes, Alek is an anti-hero, he's not really a good man, but I fell in love with him nonetheless. And Ella? Perfect for him and strong, a survivor with a heart of gold who accepts all that her man is, flaws and darkness included.

Review: Waiting for You by Kate McBrien

Review of Waiting for You by Kate McBrien Justin and Lucy are apart, but for how long? Lucy's staying with her parents, but knows she needs to get out and start living her life again. But when she gets a chance to go to London, it just may be her chance to reunite with the man whose soul has been entwined with hers for centuries upon centuries. But first, our two fated lovers will have to not only reunite, but stay together, beat the odds and the people and/or forces who are trying to keep them apart. Waiting for You is a great followup to Discovering You. Justin and Lucy's story is exciting and passionate, and the mystical/fantasy/paranormal aspect just adds another interesting layer to their already wonderful connection. I normally don't read a lot of paranormal/fantasy/sci-fi romance anymore, but I loved it here in Waiting for You. It's subtle, but ever present and as I said, just makes their story all the more intriguing. I can't wait for the conclusio...
