MY REVIEW
Lucien Morelli takes what and whom he wants. What he wants right now is to wipe the Constantines from the world. Then he sees Elaine Constantine and is instantly obsessed with her. What does he want with her? To have her. To use her. To hurt her. Then to discard her. You see, Lucien is a soulless sadist, and pitiful little Elaine is his prey.

Elaine wants things too. She wants drugs. She wants alcohol. She wants to disappear. She shouldn't want Lucien, but she does. He just might break her, though, even if that sounds like something she'd enjoy far too much...

Holy shit, Heartless is intense. It's dark and gritty and quite twisted. Lucien has a black soul. I'm not completely sure that he's irredeemable, but he did nothing, said nothing, that gave me hope for him. I can't say I liked him, or even Elaine, but I was fascinated with this first part of their story. It's suspenseful and toxic, but I loved it even as it made me cringe in a lot of places. There's quite a cliffhanger, though, so now I have to wait for months for Soulless. Gotta say that the title isn't giving me much hope in the way of redemption either!
Author Bio
Jade has increasingly little to say about herself as time goes on, other than the fact she is an author, but she's plenty happy with this. Living in imaginary realities and having a legitimate excuse for it is really all she's ever wanted.

Jade is as dirty as you'd expect from her novels, and talking smut makes her smile.
