Because there are things going on that are going to push Brooklyn to the very edge. Will she snap? Does she have what it takes to get through this? Can she make a decision between the 3 guys in her life? There's #TeamNewGuy (I'm firmly on this team btw). There's #TeamFelix. Hm, the jury is still out on this one. Then there's #TeamMatt. I gotta say, last book I was #TeamMatt because he shows potential. But in this one he folded. He had so many chances to make things right, to do things right by Brooklyn, and by my account, he didn't do anything but sit there time and time while she was treated horribly. So I'm #TeamNewGuy all the way. We'll see if he ends up being the one. I have a feeling...well I won't spoil, but let's just say nothing is set in stone, and after that freaking fracking cliffhanger, I'm all on edge waiting for the answers!!!
For a series with nothing but some teenagers running around being teenagers, I am oddly into this world. Well, not oddly, because it's the prequel to one of my favorite book couples, ever (James and Penny from The Hunted), and this author can write a phone book and make it interesting, but normally I'm not into teenagers being their usual dramatic, self-absorbed teenager selves. But the characters in this world are layered and complicated and fascinating, especially Brooklyn. So actually I think I'm #TeamBrooklyn and I just want her to be happy. Who she ends up being with, I don't know, I just want her to make it out alive, happy, and well adjusted, after having to deal with her new, crazy reality. Can't wait for the next installment, is it coming soon??!!
