MY REVIEW
Oliver is dreading going back to Virginia. Virginia means facing the people he doesn't want to face. Facing the past he doesn't want to face. But he meets Tessa. She's as broken as he. They've both lost someone, both feel that loss, feel that grief, feel that guilt. Neither wants love again, or commitment, so a little fwb while he's there should be fine. Except not. Not when there are outside forces that would love to tear them apart. Not when neither has healed enough to let someone else into their heart. Except maybe those hearts are just ripe for love, and they can have it with each other if they can get out of their own way...

Angsty, emotionally intense, a bit all over the place, and lots of push and pull. I enjoyed this story but can admit I wanted less angst and a lot more communication between the two. I get that both are broken and damaged, but those very things about both of them bugged me a tad. Not enough to affect my rating much, but enough for me to mention it. But Mended is well-written and mostly entertaining and I'd definitely like to know more about the world it's set in.
About the Author
Gabrielle G will do anything for a hot cup of tea, still celebrates her half birthdays and feels everyone has an inner temptuous voice. Born in France and having lived in Switzerland, Gabrielle currently resides in Montreal with her husband, three devilish children and an extremely moody cat. After spending years contemplating a career in writing, she finally jumped off the deep end and took the plunge into the literary world. Writing consumed her and she independently published her work. Gabrielle’s style is fiercely raw and driven by pure emotion. Her love stories leave you out of breath, yearning for more, while at the same time wiping away tears.

Review: Waiting for You by Kate McBrien

Review of Waiting for You by Kate McBrien Justin and Lucy are apart, but for how long? Lucy's staying with her parents, but knows she needs to get out and start living her life again. But when she gets a chance to go to London, it just may be her chance to reunite with the man whose soul has been entwined with hers for centuries upon centuries. Waiting for You is a great followup to Discovering You. Justin and Lucy's story is exciting and passionate, and the mystical/fantasy/paranormal aspect just adds another interesting layer to their already wonderful connection. I normally don't read a lot of paranormal/fantasy/sci-fi romance anymore, but I loved it here in Waiting for You. It's subtle, but ever present and as I said, just makes their story all the more intriguing. I can't wait for the conclusio...
