Kailani thought he was just the guy she was tutoring. She had no idea he was famous, that he held such power at her new school. But when he invites her to a party, her eyes are opened to the reality of Landon, of Black Mountain Academy. And she's never the same after that night, and not in a good way...
Now she's back here after 2 years of being gone. She's not the same girl Landon knew back then. She's confident, she's angry, and she's determined to make him pay, and to not let him break her like he did before. What neither knows, though, is that there are outside forces just itching to make life difficult for both of them, forces that don't want them in the same room together, let alone in love. Will Kailani and Landon make it through their anger at each other?
I ❤❤❤ this high school bully romance. It's sort of light on the bully, but rife with pain and betrayal, definitely a teen love story, with two fully drawn leads. Kailani and Landon are perfect for each other, even if they had to go through the most ridiculous obstacles and amount of pain to finally be together. Ashleigh Zavarelli is one of my favorite writers, and it's stories like Landon and Kailani's that put her on my favorites shelf.
