Review / Release Blitz: Wild Embrace (Wilder Irish #11) by Mari Carr

Can his perfectly ordered life survive discovering love again?
Wild Embrace, an all-new steamy single dad romance that will leave you begging for more from New York Times bestselling author Mari Carr is available now!
Love is full of bad clichés.
Falling for your boss.
The widowed dad and the nanny.
How did Darcy manage to find both of them in Ryder Hagan?
His broken heart and wounded pride means he only sees her as an employee in his company and part-time caregiver for his sons.
Until another cliché surprises them both:
The old broken elevator trap.
And the wild attraction he’s kept buried begins to break out.

MY REVIEW
Armed with amazing examples of love (her Pop Pop, her parents, etc.), Darcy knows from a young age that she wants that kind of love in her life when the right man comes along.
"Never settle for a man who doesn't realize exactly how special, how extraordinary you are."
She takes her Pop Pop's words to heart, wants her own Prince Charming, so why then does she give her heart to the one man whose own heart is not open to love?

Ryan is an unhappy man. Since his wife's death years ago, he's never allowed himself happiness or love other than that of his sons'. He doesn't even get attracted to women. But then one too many drinks of vodka while stuck in a broken elevator with his babysitter/employee, Darcy, and suddenly he's seeing the much too young woman as more than just someone he works with. But he can't give her what he knows she's looking for, what she deserves, so he'll restrain himself. He just didn't count on Darcy's persistence, her dogged pursuit of what (who) she wants - him. Will his body (and his heart) be able to resist her for much longer?

Damn...I was so not expecting this! Not only is Wild Embrace smoking hot with some scenes of D/s and lite kink, but the emotional component is truly heartbreaking to read as Ryan comes to terms with himself and what he feels. I absolutely love this installment of Wilder Irish. It's by far my favorite so far, and Pop Pop just keeps getting better and better as more of his grandkids find the kind of love he had with his one and only.

Review: Winter Interlude: An American Revolutionary Novelette (American Revolutionary Tales 2) by Regina Kammer

Review of Winter Interlude: An American Revolutionary Novelette by Regina Kammer Captain Samuel Taylor and Lieutenant Patrick Hamilton recall their first steamy encounter, which was a MFM threesome in a brothel. It morphed into more and now the two are contemplating their futures with the women they love, and their futures with each other. If you think times are hard for the LGBT community now, think of how hard they were during the American Revolution. Winter Interlude is well developed, which is surprising given its short length. I am so interested in knowing what is to become of Samuel and Patrick's forbidden relationship. Do they stay together? Or do they go their separate ways, and live out their lives with their women? Now that they've admitted their love for each other, how impossible would it be for them to be without each other? I have to know, now! If you like MM fiction and/or historical fiction, I highly recommend you give Winter Interlude a read. It...
