Review / Release Blitz: Lost Without You (Annapolis Harbor #2) by Lea Coll

Lost without You by Lea Coll is now live!
Avery
Opening a law firm isn't at all what I thought it would be. The landlord is arrogant and irritating. Despite his sexy voice and smooth demeanor, I want to fight him at every turn. Everything with him is a battle--a battle I intend to win. After all, I'm an attorney who never backs down. But when he needs my help, I can't possibly refuse. Who could? Thrown into a role he knows nothing about can't be easy.

Beneath his gruff nature is a broken man who needs to be put back together. The last thing I will ever do is let someone destroy him more.

Griffin
A cheating fiancée and a backstabbing best friend are not the worst of my problems. When my brother dies, I'm thrust into the life of a single parent. In over my head, I'm forced to seek help from the lawyer who fights me every chance she can. Avery Arrington is a smart-mouthed, feisty woman, who can win my case. Powerful, intelligent, and sexy, I want her in ways I've sworn off for good.

But right now, it's all about my nephew. He's my top priority--the only thing that matters. Now, I have to put all of my faith and hope in Avery to save me—save us. I rarely trust anyone. But the truth is, without Avery, I'd be lost.
MY REVIEW
When Avery comes face to face with the grumpy landlord she's been arguing with for weeks now, he's not quite what she had expected. He needs her help, and Avery is going to give it to him. She just has to make sure she doesn't give him her heart along with her legal help...

Griffin is not quite what I (nor Avery) had been expecting. He's grieving, he needs help, and he feels deeply. Avery caught his eye and he never wavered from her since their first meeting. It was Avery who had the issues this time, and I felt for her even though I was really frustrated that she kept Griffing at a distance for 99% of the story. I'm just glad she finally came to her senses and told him how she felt. Lost Without You is another great story in the Annapolis Harbor world, quite different from the previous, but just as entertaining reading.

Review: One Little Lie by Whitney Barbetti

Review of One Little Lie by Whitney Barbetti ONE LITTLE LIE Hollis is a good girl with a crush on a broody musician. Unfortunately, that boy, Adam, hates her. Why? Because the chip on his shoulder leaves him thinking good girl, rich girl Hollis is a lemming like everyone else in their small town. Which makes it even more unfortunate when years after their high school encounter, Hollis' best friend tries to stick up for her and ends up telling her parents that Adam is the the boyfriend Hollis doesn't actually have. Oops. How will Hollis ever convince Adam to go along with her little lie? I really liked One Little Lie. Hollis is a really naive girl, but she has such a huge heart that I couldn't help but fall in love with her spirit. She's so sweet, so compassionate, the kind of person this world needs more of. Adam, on the other hand, eh, he didn't do much for me. His chip on the shoulder, broody asshole attitude did nothing to endear me to him, but because H...

Title: The Challenge: A Single Dad Romance Author: Penelope Ward Genre: Standalone Contemporary Romance Tropes: Single Dad, Second Chance, Forced Proximity Friends to Lovers, Small Town, Found Family Release Date: August 30, 2026 BLURB From New York Times bestselling author Penelope Ward comes a new, STANDALONE contemporary romance… Nothing says welcome home like accidentally moving in with your first heartbreak…and his little girl. Coming back to my small Wyoming hometown was supposed to be temporary. I only planned to stay long enough to help my ailing mother and sort through the mess of my family’s old belongings. Instead, I somehow ended up living in Evan Ricci’s house. The single dad now owned a bunch of properties and one of them was the place I’d rented. He’d taken it off the market and moved in before I got there. I just never got the memo. Unfortunately, there was no other place in town available, so Evan let me stay. Evan—the guy my parents took in years a...
