BLURB
Florence Harris thought if she ever fell in love it would be with someone sweet, dependable, boring.
Nope.
Turns out she likes arrogant, annoying, ego so big it wouldn’t fit in the ocean Eli Lennox.
Just because he saved her life he thinks it gives him permission to meddle in it. He’s determined to save her from herself. Problem is she thinks she’s beyond saving.

She’s beautiful, intelligent, and the sexiest woman Eli had ever laid eyes on, and she turns him down flat when he asks her out.
That doesn’t happen to him often.
Or ever.
And it makes him determined to prove to her she’s worth every ounce of effort he’s going to put into winning her heart.
Eli Lennox always gets what he wants.

MY REVIEW
Eli is not used to women turning him down for dates. He's used to them tripping all over themselves to be with him in fact. So when this gorgeous woman (whom he saved no less!) rejects him, it only makes him more determined to get to know her.
The childhood Florence had made her determined to help people. Becoming a cop has fulfilled that dream, and it's made her all the more independent and unable to trust anyone, especially men, other than her older brother and her partner. So when the cocky, hot guy who saved her from being run over is persistent in asking her out, no matter how many times she turns him down, she wonders how long before Eli loses interest in her. She's just a regular person with a bad childhood, definitely not the kind of woman Eli's used to. So she needs to keep her guard up and her heart protected. Even after Eli wears her down and she agrees to a date. Then more...But when it comes down to it, it just may be her job, the job she loves, that is the biggest obstacle in their path. Will Eli let his fear of losing her to the danger of her job keep him from being with her? Or will he realize that it's better to have loved and lost than to never have loved at all?

Cocky Savior is the kind of romance I like best - smart, sweet, strong and independent heroine who brings the cocky but equally sweet hero to his knees. Florence and Eli's story is sexy, fast-paced and does Vi and Penelope's Cocky Hero Club proud.

Review: Waiting for You by Kate McBrien

Review of Waiting for You by Kate McBrien Justin and Lucy are apart, but for how long? Lucy's staying with her parents, but knows she needs to get out and start living her life again. But when she gets a chance to go to London, it just may be her chance to reunite with the man whose soul has been entwined with hers for centuries upon centuries. But first, our two fated lovers will have to not only reunite, but stay together, beat the odds and the people and/or forces who are trying to keep them apart. Waiting for You is a great followup to Discovering You. Justin and Lucy's story is exciting and passionate, and the mystical/fantasy/paranormal aspect just adds another interesting layer to their already wonderful connection. I normally don't read a lot of paranormal/fantasy/sci-fi romance anymore, but I loved it here in Waiting for You. It's subtle, but ever present and as I said, just makes their story all the more intriguing. I can't wait for the conclusio...
