Goodreads Review - “This story catches your attention from the first page and keeps you glued to it until the very end.”

Goodreads Review - “I love it! The characters have a depth that lets you in, to see their struggles.”

Goodreads Review - “This book was absolutely fantastic and it's on the darker side of my reading but let me just say that Autumn didn't disappoint me with this book.”
Protecting a helpless stranger could be my redemption, or my biggest mistake.

Brett
I'm not a hero.
I’m a single dad who’s lost his way. I’ve finally put the never ending-parties on hold, trading drugs for bedtime stories, alcohol for girlie tea parties and pleasure for pain.
These days my daughter is the only priority, not the woman who showed up out of nowhere, claiming to be family.
Raen Cartier begged for my help––a stunning contradiction of beauty scarred by torture.
Saving her could be the worst mistake of my life or the only way to find peace.

Raen
He’s my only hope.
My sister was murdered. I was stolen. There isn’t a shred of my existence left in the world. Now, I’m in Dublin, begging a powerful stranger to rescue me. A man who flatly refuses to save the woman he’s never met before. The father to my niece.
Without the affluent Brett De Courcy’s help, my pitiful days are numbered.
I never expected him to trap me, or that I’d fall in love with the forbidden.

If you adore tortured heroes who deserve a second chance at love, with a story shadowed in darkness and a hint of suspense, then the latest standalone by international bestselling author, Autumn Archer is waiting for you.
MY REVIEW
Raen's last hope for rescue is her sister's ex. The father to her niece. The billionaire who doesn't trust. But when he turns her down flat, she knows her life is now forfeit. Will Brett rethink his rejection of Raen's plea? Can he bring himself to trust she's telling the truth?

Vow to Protect is intense and more than a little painful to read. I really liked it, though, was rooting for Raen and Brett to make it through to the other side, happily in love. They had to go through so much, endure so much pain, both of them, but it only made both of them stronger, made me more on edge as I waited for them to find the happiness they so deserved.

Review: One Little Lie by Whitney Barbetti

Review of One Little Lie by Whitney Barbetti ONE LITTLE LIE Hollis is a good girl with a crush on a broody musician. Unfortunately, that boy, Adam, hates her. Why? Because the chip on his shoulder leaves him thinking good girl, rich girl Hollis is a lemming like everyone else in their small town. Which makes it even more unfortunate when years after their high school encounter, Hollis' best friend tries to stick up for her and ends up telling her parents that Adam is the the boyfriend Hollis doesn't actually have. Oops. How will Hollis ever convince Adam to go along with her little lie? I really liked One Little Lie. Hollis is a really naive girl, but she has such a huge heart that I couldn't help but fall in love with her spirit. She's so sweet, so compassionate, the kind of person this world needs more of. Adam, on the other hand, eh, he didn't do much for me. His chip on the shoulder, broody asshole attitude did nothing to endear me to him, but because H...

He’d taken it off the market and moved in before I got there. I just never got the memo. Unfortunately, there was no other place in town available, so Evan let me stay. Evan—the guy my parents took in years a...
