Review / Release Blitz: Hard to Score (Play Hard #3) by K. Bromberg

Hard to Score by K. Bromberg is now live!

I've signed numerous players to my family's agency--I assumed winning over my next client would be just as easy.

The last thing I expected was to run into the boy who took my first kiss and broke my heart: only now Drew Bowman is all grown up.

Sexy. Scandal-tainted. Second-string. The crush I never got over.

I tell myself work is the reason I can't get him out of my head. I tell him his talent far outweighs his position, and I know I can help. I lie and lie, because admitting that I want a second chance at my first love is impossible.

Some lines cannot be crossed, and ours was drawn in the sand years ago.

I'm supposed to hate her.

I've been told so time and again for ten years - her father ruined our family, smeared my name before my career even began.

But that's not what I'm feeling now.

Brexton Kincade just strode out of my memories and onto my field.

Driven. Determined. Grown up. The Capulet to my Montague.

Being with her would be an unforgivable sin against my father, but I can't resist the pull between us. Even if it means hiding what we have. Even if it means confronting the secrets I've always feared were lies.

MY REVIEW
Brexton (awesome name!) cannot believe her eyes. The boy she crushed on, her once family friend, the one who placed her firmly in the friend zone, crushing her heart, is practicing his throws right in front of her. He's here, in the industry. The industry she and her family's agency represent. How has she not seen him the whole time? And will she ever get over that old crush?
Drew's been living with the scandal of his father's career crash and burn for so many years that he doesn't know how to be in the world without the weight pressing down on him. The weight of never gaining his father's love, of never being good enough, the weight of everything. Then his past comes waltzing into his life when Bratty Brex, the girl whose family his family despises, spies him practicing after a game. He shouldn't want her, shouldn't let her distract him. But there's always been something about Brex that called to him, the girl who would watch the stars with him. And he won't let his family tell him he can't have her. Not this time. Can he be the man she deserves, be good enough for her, even though his family might say she shouldn't be anywhere near him?
This is definitely my favorite of the series so far. Brex is quite unlike her sisters, more open, more sweet, more everything. And she and Drew are such a great couple. She's there for him, his rock while he figures out his dysfunctional home life. Speaking of that home life...wow, wasn't expecting that, but I love that Brex never gave up on him while he was getting his head on straight. And I love that the story ended on a note of hope in that area. But most of all, I just love how sweet and sexy Drew and Brex are together.
Meet Kristy
New York Times Bestselling author K. Bromberg writes contemporary romance novels that contain a mixture of sweet, emotional, a whole lot of sexy, and a little bit of real. She likes to write strong heroines and damaged heroes who we love to hate but can't help to love.

A mom of three, she plots her novels in between school runs and soccer practices, more often than not with her laptop in tow and her mind scattered in too many different directions.

Since publishing her first book on a whim in 2013, Kristy has sold over one and a half million copies of her books across eighteen different countries and has landed on the New York Times, USA Today, and Wall Street Journal Bestsellers lists over thirty times. Her Driven trilogy (Driven, Fueled, and Crashed) is currently being adapted for film by the streaming platform, Passionflix, with the first movie (Driven) out now.

With her imagination always in overdrive, she is currently scheming, plotting, and swooning over her latest hero. Review Blitz: The Challenge by Penelope Ward

Title: The Challenge: A Single Dad Romance Author: Penelope Ward Genre: Standalone Contemporary Romance Tropes: Single Dad, Second Chance, Forced Proximity Friends to Lovers, Small Town, Found Family Release Date: August 30, 2026 BLURB From New York Times bestselling author Penelope Ward comes a new, STANDALONE contemporary romance… Nothing says welcome home like accidentally moving in with your first heartbreak…and his little girl. Coming back to my small Wyoming hometown was supposed to be temporary. I only planned to stay long enough to help my ailing mother and sort through the mess of my family’s old belongings. Instead, I somehow ended up living in Evan Ricci’s house. The single dad now owned a bunch of properties and one of them was the place I’d rented. He’d taken it off the market and moved in before I got there. I just never got the memo. Unfortunately, there was no other place in town available, so Evan let me stay. Evan—the guy my parents took in years a...

You TV series

Wow, hubby and I watched You on Lifetime last night. It was creepy and suspenseful. Hubby likened it to Dexter , and I have to agree. Penn Badgley was on point - creepy, stalkery, but fascinating. I didn't think too much of Elizabeth Lail's acting, but I'm not sure if it was just that her character was bland, or if it was truly bad acting. Can't wait for next week!
