When Gracie comes home for Christmas and Addi's wedding, she has a plus one with her. A very hot plus one. A plus one that it's clear Gracie is not happy with. A plus one who happens to be her boss, AND her husband. Yep. To say her dad is unhappy is the world's biggest understatement. Gracie and Jaxon have got their work cut out for them if they want to stay married, because he doesn't know love, doesn't believe in it, and doesn't feel it. For anyone, least of all his wife, who dreams of a relationship like her parents'. Will Jaxon ever be willing to open himself up to love, or are they doomed to divorce as soon as he can let his possessive hands ungrasp her?

Jaxon's past has helped mold him into the successful, COLD attorney he is today. Unfortunately, it's also walled him off to emotions. He describes his own eyes as cold, and he certainly comes across that way, until a spitfire names Gracie storms into his life and upends it until he doesn't know what to do, doesn't know how to process how she's changed him. He wants Grace and means to have her, means to KEEP her, especially when to do so will protect her and her future. But is he willing to give her what she wants, emotionally? Has he changed enough to utter those 3 little words that he feels, even if he can't bring himself to say them?

I absolutely fell in love with Gracie and Jaxon's story. They're like fire and ice together, and I really enjoyed reading as Gracie brought out all the love he had just dying to come out, how she unfroze that heart of his. Together they're seriously hot with their snarky banter, unsuccessfully trying to hide their emotions from each other. I'm so glad the BAM family has expanded and all the kids are getting their own stories, and Grace's story was the perfect one to start off the new generation of ABC Corp.

She loves to throw dinner parties, and also enjoys traveling, here and abroad, but finds coming home is always the best part of any trip.

Melanie loves stories, especially paired with a good wine, and enjoys skydiving (free falling over a fleck of dust) extreme snowboarding (falling down stairs) and piloting her own helicopter (tripping over her own feet.) She's learned happily ever afters, even bumpy ones, are all in how you tell the story.
