MY REVIEW
Tyler is the last person wanting the white picket fence dream. He knows where that leads, and it's not anywhere he's interested in. But is his unwillingness to give all of himself to Lavender worth losing her? He knows she's worth any amount of pain but he just cannot take that step. But when Lavender and her girls and he and his boys end up at the same place, perhaps he can convince her to stay with him but in the same way they were before - commitment but not the ultimate commitment. That will work for her, right?
I wanted to smack Tyler, I gotta admit. He was frustratingly stubborn and cocky to the point that I didn't like him or connect with him at all. On the other hand, I loved Lavender, and felt she deserved a lot better than Tyler. I also felt thrown into a story that was clearly already happening, so I couldn't connect with Comeback Route beyond liking Lavender. Perhaps if I had read the previous stories in this series, I might have liked or connected with it more. As it's written, though, it didn't feel fully fleshed out, and I didn't really feel Tyler was good enough for Lavender.
