Review / Release Blitz: Set to Music by Negeen Papehn

Set to Music by Negeen Papehn is now live!
He was supposed to be off limits.

Dr. Darya Zameeni doesn't have time for interruptions--in her ER, or in her life. Especially not from the gorgeous man pacing in her waiting room. With mountains of student debt, an ailing single mother, and a younger sister to support, Darya can't afford to get sidetracked, even though they can't take their eyes off each other.

Disillusioned Grammy-winning rock star Anthony Castillo's night wasn't supposed to end like this--in the ER, panicked after his little brother's sudden collapse on stage. The band cannot go back on tour without Carlos, but his brother needs constant medical attention. When the beautiful, no-nonsense Dr. Zameeni treating Carlos shows no interest in their fame, he decides she is the perfect candidate for the job. If only he can convince her--and himself--that he wants nothing more.

Darya can't imagine leaving her job, even temporarily, to follow a rock star around the globe. She's expected to be the perfect Iranian daughter, after all. But Anthony's offer comes right as she needs the money and she cannot deny their attraction.

Family is everything to them both. With so much to lose, the smart thing would be to go back to their lives and forget they'd ever met. But doing the smart thing has never seemed so wrong...
MY REVIEW
Darya Zameeni is an ER doctor caring for her mother and sister when pretty boy finds his way into her ER. She's not particularly impressed by him or what is apparently his fame and adoration, but when a broody man comes in obviously worried about her patient, now THAT man is one she finds herself loathe to look away from. So when an opportunity presents itself to help her pay for her mother's treatments because of Carlos and his gorgeous brother, can she really do it? Should she do it? Travel the world with a band as one Carlos' on call doctor?
Anthony was entranced the first time he laid eyes on his brother's doctor. And he was even more impressed when it became obvious she wasn't going to fall at his feet the way most women do. When it becomes apparent his brother needs a doctor around him all the time, will Darya accept? And will she give into the attraction that's so obvious between them?

This is such a great rockstar romance! From the Persian cultural details such a part of Darya's persona, to the way Anthony was so different than the average rockstar hero, it was obvious Negeen put a lot of love and thought into crafting this wonderful multicultural love story.

Review: One Little Lie by Whitney Barbetti

Review of One Little Lie by Whitney Barbetti ONE LITTLE LIE Hollis is a good girl with a crush on a broody musician. Unfortunately, that boy, Adam, hates her. Why? Because the chip on his shoulder leaves him thinking good girl, rich girl Hollis is a lemming like everyone else in their small town. Which makes it even more unfortunate when years after their high school encounter, Hollis' best friend tries to stick up for her and ends up telling her parents that Adam is the the boyfriend Hollis doesn't actually have. Oops. How will Hollis ever convince Adam to go along with her little lie? I really liked One Little Lie. Hollis is a really naive girl, but she has such a huge heart that I couldn't help but fall in love with her spirit. She's so sweet, so compassionate, the kind of person this world needs more of. Adam, on the other hand, eh, he didn't do much for me. His chip on the shoulder, broody asshole attitude did nothing to endear me to him, but because H...
