Review / Release Blitz: Otterly Irresistible (Boys of the Bayou Gone Wild #1) by Erin Nicholas

A hot, grumpy wildlife vet. A sunny, sassy optimist.
And an attraction that’s—yep, we’re going to say it—irresistible.

Otterly Irresistible, an all-new fun and flirty, opposites attract standalone by New York Times bestselling author Erin Nicholas is available now!
New York Times bestselling author Erin Nicholas is taking readers back to the Bayou with an all-new, fun and flirty small town romance series!

Broody wildlife veterinarian Griffin Foster is done. Done trying to save the world. Done getting attached. He’s been fired twice for standing his ground and now he’s going to be content--by God--in small-town Louisiana, in a small veterinary practice, where there will only be small problems.

Quiet and boring, though? Um, no. He’s been adopted by a loud, crazy Cajun family with a tiny petting zoo for him to care for. Hey, it’s not endangered tigers at a nationally renowned zoo, but a family of otters--and all the gumbo he can eat--isn’t a bad deal.

Until she shows up. Again.

The sunny, gorgeous optimist who stole his heart--and his favorite shirt--two months ago. Who clearly hasn’t heard the word “no” enough in her life. And who is the first woman to put even a tiny crack in his don’t-get-attached wall.

Charlotte “Charlie” Landry is the new marketing consultant for the family swamp-boat tour company and petting zoo. It might not have been her plan, but she is all in, ready to grow the business. Whether the hot, grumpy vet likes it or not.

He doesn’t.

Worse, sparring with his unforgettable one-night stand is more fun than he’s had in a long time.

But watching wears-designer-dresses Charlie find her dream job amongst a bunch of goats, alpacas, and otters is a surprise.

And her helping him find his passion again is...well, irresistible.

Dammit.

MY REVIEW
Charlie is absolutely charmed by the man who turned down her invitation to dance. Griffin's broody and gruff, but there's something about the man who loves animals so much. Maybe she can get him to lighten up, to open up. Maybe she can help him with those things by opening up a new animal park. Maybe she can charm him into her bedroom...

Oh God, these bayou boys and girls...they're all just so damn lovable. Griffin and Charlie are absolute opposites, but both have big hearts, just waiting to find love. They found it with each other and I loved every page of their story, otters and goats and all. She's the bright light to his world, and he's the rock to hers. I cannot wait for more of men and women of the bayou.

Review: One Little Lie by Whitney Barbetti

Review of One Little Lie by Whitney Barbetti ONE LITTLE LIE Hollis is a good girl with a crush on a broody musician. Unfortunately, that boy, Adam, hates her. Why? Because the chip on his shoulder leaves him thinking good girl, rich girl Hollis is a lemming like everyone else in their small town. Which makes it even more unfortunate when years after their high school encounter, Hollis' best friend tries to stick up for her and ends up telling her parents that Adam is the the boyfriend Hollis doesn't actually have. Oops. How will Hollis ever convince Adam to go along with her little lie? I really liked One Little Lie. Hollis is a really naive girl, but she has such a huge heart that I couldn't help but fall in love with her spirit. She's so sweet, so compassionate, the kind of person this world needs more of. Adam, on the other hand, eh, he didn't do much for me. His chip on the shoulder, broody asshole attitude did nothing to endear me to him, but because H...

Title: The Challenge: A Single Dad Romance Author: Penelope Ward Genre: Standalone Contemporary Romance Tropes: Single Dad, Second Chance, Forced Proximity Friends to Lovers, Small Town, Found Family Release Date: August 30, 2026 BLURB From New York Times bestselling author Penelope Ward comes a new, STANDALONE contemporary romance… Nothing says welcome home like accidentally moving in with your first heartbreak…and his little girl. Coming back to my small Wyoming hometown was supposed to be temporary. I only planned to stay long enough to help my ailing mother and sort through the mess of my family’s old belongings. Instead, I somehow ended up living in Evan Ricci’s house. The single dad now owned a bunch of properties and one of them was the place I’d rented. He’d taken it off the market and moved in before I got there. I just never got the memo. Unfortunately, there was no other place in town available, so Evan let me stay. Evan—the guy my parents took in years a...
