MY REVIEW

Hank's off to heal after having his heart broken from falling for his brother's girl. He has no idea that when he brings home a fake girlfriend for the sake of said brother, he'd fall in love for real.

Stevie is a fabulous 40 year old divorcée, a brewmaster, and wary of commitment and relationships. So when her beautiful fling - a younger man, asks her for a big favor - be his fake girlfriend for a weekend to convince his brother he's really over his soon to be sister-in-law, yeah she's all down for it as long as they don't fall in love.

Of course things don't exactly go to plan, because when do they ever, but reading as Hank and Stevie fell hard and fast was so much fun! I love the fake relationship trope, and Jessica did very right by it in Southern Sinner, because Hank and Stevie are fire together. They not only have insane chemistry, but they just fit together seamlessly even though they didn't actually know each other very long. And yet, they had a vibe of long-time loves, and that's hard to do in such a short amount of time. I remember while reading Samuel and Emma's story thinking that Hank had to have a seriously interesting story somewhere, and I'm glad to find out I was right. This is definitely the best story yet in this series, and by far the best, most adorable couple. Rhett's story is up next and I can already tell it's gonna be a doozy...
