Benson (Tank) Wicked is a savior. He gives and gives of himself - to his family, to his employees, and to the victims he sees in his volunteer firefighter job. Now he's got to save Leah and her girls from Leah's grief. If only she didn't blame him for that grief... Can he save one last person, the most important person?

Leah never realized there were people like Tank and his family. Loving, compassionate people who take in anyone needing some comfort, some saving. Now she has to take on her grief, the grief she wrongly blames Tank for, if she wants to become part of Tank's family, if she wants her and her girls to become part of his family. It won't be easy, but with a strong man like Tank by her side, she can surely get through this.

My God...Tank and Leah gutted me! Be sure to have a box (or 2 or 3) of tissue by your side as you read, because you will most definitely need something to wipe up all your tears! But though heart wrenchingly tragic, Tank and Leah are quite beautiful together, too. From their first days together as she blames him while he stands by her and takes every bit of her anger and hurt, to the very last page of the sweetest epilogue - I was hooked. I enjoy all of Melissa's writing, from her easy beachy reads to the most emotional ones, but I really have to say that this one is by far my favorite. It's beautiful, an emotional rollercoaster, painful at times, beyond sexy, and I will not soon forget Papa Tank, Leah, Rosie, Junie, and River too, and all of the Wickeds and their community.
