My life was perfect: the school of my dreams with the boy of my dreams, playing the sport of my dreams.
Until that boy destroyed our future – now I’m numb, each day passing in a colorless void.
When joy comes from the last place I could have imagined, I pick up the pieces and put together a new life.
Now that boy is back, and the man he’s become wants to right the past and discover a new beginning.
It’s up to me to decide if we can overcome the lies that bind us.

MY REVIEW
Raya and Nolan were supposed to be forever. Then he took her heart and dreams of forever and ripped everything into a million tiny pieces. Since that day, Raya has picked herself up and gone on, strengthened her already strong backbone, and lived her life for the one person who needed her. Now the boy who severed their dreams is back, wanting a second chance. Should she give it to him? Give him a chance to hurt her again?
Let me tell you something first - grab a box of tissues before you read this, you're going to need them because this second chance story is an emotional heartbreaker. It's full of angst and pain, but love, too, because honestly, the bond between Raya and Nolan was the kind we all search for. He may have tried to break it, but it lived on just waiting for them to come back to each other. I really liked this story, for a couple reasons, the first being Raya. She's tough and strong and didn't let Nolan break her. Oh sure, he broke her heart, but she came back stronger than ever and proved how amazing she is. The second reason is that Nolan's family is awesome - loving, loyal, and compassionate, taking in Raya when their own family member hurt her so badly. That's the kind of family I wish all writers would put in their stories. Now on to the bad, thankfully there's only one thing I didn't like, and that's Nolan. What he did to Raya was unforgivable, not to mention, ridiculously unnecessary. I'm still not understanding why he didn't just tell her the truth, why he chose to break her heart the way he did. Raya is a far, far better person than I, because if I had been in her position, I wouldn't have given Nolan that second chance. He didn't deserve it, and she could have done a whole lot better than Nolan. He's just lucky her heart wouldn't let her get over him. Aside from the unbelievable douchey behavior of Nolan (who never redeemed himself in my eyes), though, I liked everything else about this angsty second chance.
