Review / Release Blitz: The Daredevil (Rivers Wilde #3.5) by Dylan Allen

“Another can’t-miss winner from the addictive world of Rivers Wilde.”--Kennedy Ryan, Wall Street Journal bestselling author

The Daredevil, an all new steamy second chance romance novella in the Rivers Wilde Series from Wall Street Journal bestselling author Dylan Allen and 1,001 Dark Nights is available now!

From Wall Street Journal and USA Today bestselling author Dylan Allen comes a new story in her Rivers Wilde series…

“I dare you to let me watch...”

It was the wickedest of propositions, made by the most devilish of men.

It doesn’t matter that Tyson Wilde has got a killer smile, wears a suit like it’s his job,
and oozes spine-tingling sex appeal. I should say no.
Because beneath the surface of that cool, disinterested exterior,
lies passion hot enough to burn. I danced too close to it once and have the scars to prove it.

So, on any other night, in any other city, and if he’d been even a fraction less mouthwatering,
I would have been able to resist.

But it’s my birthday, we’re in Paris, and it’s him.
I can’t say no.
I don’t want to say no.

And this time, no matter how right we feel together, I won’t let myself forget that when this weekend is over, we will be, too. We’re only pretending to be lovers to land a deal.
Success will mean a promotion—one I want more than anything.
At least, that’s what I thought.

Falling in love was a danger neither Tyson or I saw coming.
And it will cost one of us everything.

**Every 1001 Dark Nights novella is a standalone story. For new readers, it’s an introduction to an author’s world. And for fans, it’s a bonus book in the author’s series. We hope you'll enjoy each one as much as we do.**

MY REVIEW
Dina is going through an unpleasant divorce when she first gets a taste of Tyson Wilde. She wants more but he doesn't. Oh well, it's his loss. Now a year later, his dynamo of a mother and her big boss, teams her and Tyson up on an assignment, the fake date for a night kind of an assignment. For a couple of people who dislike each other, it will be a test. A test of their restraint, and a test of just how much they really dislike each other, because that attraction has never gone away. Now the question is, will Tyson step up and be the man Dina needs and deserves when he's called upon to make a crucial decision that will affect both their futures, with his family's company, and their futures with each other? Or will he revert to the cold, career is most important façade he's been wearing for so long?

I love the Rivers Wilde world! So was really glad when I heard more was coming. I was surprised to find out that I didn't particularly like the two Wilde characters of Tyson and his mother Tina, and found him to be kind of a douche, and Tina to overbearing and cold, but I freaking loved Dina! She's a smart af, intuitive woman who knows her worth and isn't afraid to demand she be treated the way she deserves to be treated. That she's half Vietnamese and half Senegalese is only awesome icing on her already amazing cake of a character. Unfortunately, I don't think Tyson was nearly good enough for her, but that's OK because Dina is amazing enough to make me love the whole story despite the two Wildes being less than likable for me.

Coming back to my small Wyoming hometown was supposed to be temporary. I only planned to stay long enough to help my ailing mother and sort through the mess of my family’s old belongings. Instead, I somehow ended up living in Evan Ricci’s house. The single dad now owned a bunch of properties and one of them was the place I’d rented. He’d taken it off the market and moved in before I got there. I just never got the memo. Unfortunately, there was no other place in town available, so Evan let me stay. Evan—the guy my parents took in years a...

You TV series

Wow, hubby and I watched You on Lifetime last night. It was creepy and suspenseful. Hubby likened it to Dexter , and I have to agree. Penn Badgley was on point - creepy, stalkery, but fascinating. I didn't think too much of Elizabeth Lail's acting, but I'm not sure if it was just that her character was bland, or if it was truly bad acting. Can't wait for next week!
