Cassius has been thirsting for revenge ever since his family was taken from him. Now he's got the very thing to help him exact that revenge - Anya, the daughter of his enemy. Will the fiery physical connection they have be his undoing? Will it deter him from his mission of vengeance?
All Anya has ever wanted is out of the gilded cage of loneliness her parents have put her and her brother in. When she finds herself being taken away from them, for a split second perhaps there's a light at the end of the tunnel. But no, her captor is as bad as her parents, if not worse. He's promised to kill her at some point, but even that doesn't seem to make a dent in the longing her body has for him. Their connection is intense and furious and she's starting to think he's not what he appears to be. But if she gets the chance to escape, will she take it?
Whew, I knew when Ava and Vanessa partnered up to write, the result would be crazy good, and it is so good! Excellent, actually. Cass and Anya's slow burn chemistry singed my Kindle it was so hot, and I was on edge waiting for the other shoe to drop, for the secrets to be revealed. I loved both of them, but as much as I ended up liking possessive, dominant Cass, I think Anya was my favorite - strong and sassy, but always wanting to see the goodness in people, even her obnoxious, neglectful parents. I hate how much they hurt her and her brother. She was such a contrast to the hardened darkness in Cass, but she had a lightening influence on him. When alphas fall, they fall hard, I'm just glad he fell for Anya, who, though she was young and naïve, was the light to his dark. I hope these two writers team up again, if they do, I will be the first to download whatever it is they give us.
