Trouble.
One word that comes to mind when someone talks about me. I like to think of it as protection, watching out for the ones I love. But now I’m spending more time in the penalty box than on the ice and the team owner isn’t happy.
Finding myself across the room from the hot therapist I kissed on New Year’s Eve only makes me push my problems down further. I want couch time with her but not the kind she’s used to.
I decide to lie to her just to finish off my therapy so I can do what I really want—date her—even if she says she doesn’t date hockey players. Just when my therapy sessions are up and I’ve made some headway with Paisley, it’s my parents who throw another wrench in my plans.
If I abide by my parent’s wishes to marry the one they’ve chosen, I’ll lose Paisley forever. But if I go against my parents, I’m failing my deceased best friend all over again.

MY REVIEW
Maksim's been ordered to see a therapist just like his entire team has been ordered. Not only does he not believe in therapy, but he really only wants one thing from the therapist, (who happens to be the beautiful woman he kissed on New Year's Eve), and it's a lot more fun than being analyzed...
Paisley just has to make sure she stays professional with Maksim. She doesn't do hockey players, and she sure as hell doesn't do anything with the team she's supposed to be counseling. But something about the fiercely protective team enforcer makes her feel things that are decidedly unprofessional...can she keep her cool around him, and her heart too?
Paisley and Maksim had me rooting for them from their very first meeting. I loved their connection and how hard Paisley fought for Maksim to work through his issues, to let go of the undeserved guilt he had been carrying for so long. Their connection was intense, both emotionally and physically, and I was holding my breath waiting for them to figure their relationship out and be happy. Maksim was really frustrating at times, but I could understand where he was coming from, and luckily for him, Paisley was supremely understanding and forgiving. I love this hockey world Piper Rayne's created, now I'm really impatient for playboy Ford's turn to fall in love.
