The alpha.
On top of the world.

I’m not the carefree man she once knew.
That was the problem with being one of the richest men in the world—everyone thinks they know me, but they only know what I want them to.

I’m demanding.
Arrogant.
Controlling.

My company thinks they can change me. Soften my image. Make me more appealing to the public.
Little do they know, the woman they hired was my best friend’s little sister, and the last time I saw her...

I broke her heart.

MY REVIEW
Autumn and Julian once had a thing, one they kept from her brother, who happened to be his best friend in a brother from another mother kind of way. She thought they would go the distance, but when he turned his back on her, she moved on and made something of herself. And the very thing she made of herself is what has brought her back into his life now. Is a second chance in the future or is she really over him and not willing to let him back into her heart again?

OK, I have to get this out of the way first - I could not stand Julian. Whew, I feel better now that I've said that. He was an alphahole without a heart, and never managed to redeem himself in my eyes. Don't get me wrong, I love me an alpha as much as the next person, but he has to have some kind of redeeming quality so that he's not all alpha and nothing else. Julian was all alpha, all asshole and did not soften even when he claimed to love Autumn. So why 4 stars and not fewer? Well, the story itself is entertaining, well-written, and I adored a certain secondary character, and these reasons were more than enough to make up for Julian's lack of redeeming qualities. I just wish Autumn had been paired with someone who not only claimed to love her, but was brought to his knees by that love enough so that he showed a soft heart and some sweet mannerisms for the woman he had given his heart to.

Review: Waiting for You by Kate McBrien

Review of Waiting for You by Kate McBrien Justin and Lucy are apart, but for how long? Lucy's staying with her parents, but knows she needs to get out and start living her life again. But when she gets a chance to go to London, it just may be her chance to reunite with the man whose soul has been entwined with hers for centuries upon centuries. But first, our two fated lovers will have to not only reunite, but stay together, beat the odds and the people and/or forces who are trying to keep them apart. Waiting for You is a great followup to Discovering You. Justin and Lucy's story is exciting and passionate, and the mystical/fantasy/paranormal aspect just adds another interesting layer to their already wonderful connection. I normally don't read a lot of paranormal/fantasy/sci-fi romance anymore, but I loved it here in Waiting for You. It's subtle, but ever present and as I said, just makes their story all the more intriguing. I can't wait for the conclusio...
