MY REVIEW
Eden's desperation to find a way to help save her father and their private school, leads her straight into the depths of hell and into the arms of the man who reigns supreme over his own dark corner of the world, her new boss, Trent Lawson. Trent can tell with one glance that Eden doesn't belong there in his club. But as much as he knows she shouldn't be there, he wants her there, and it's that contrast that gets to him and keeps her in his mind. If he were a better man, he'd keep pushing her away rather than dragging her into his world. But, he knows just how bad he is, and he wants her. Will having her be the end of her life, or will the good in him that only she seems to see, be enough to keep these forbidden lovers together?

I know I always say this in my reviews of A.L. Jackson's writing, but she is a lyrical freaking poet! She completely drew me into Trent and Eden's angsty, sizzling hot story with her way with words. I was riveted the whole way through, dying to find out how Eden and Trent would claw their way out of Trent's dark world. I love the contrast in personalities, the contrast in the worlds they inhabit, and I fell in love with them, with Trent's family of steadfast, loyal brothers, his cutie pie son, and Eden's loving father. But most of all I love that Eden saw past Trent's darkness to the good that was buried deep within him, and she did not waver in her support of him. We should all be so lucky to have such a loyal, and loving partner. I'm not sure which brother's story is next, but I am waiting very impatiently for it now.

Review of Winter Interlude: An American Revolutionary Novelette by Regina Kammer Captain Samuel Taylor and Lieutenant Patrick Hamilton recall their first steamy encounter, which was a MFM threesome in a brothel. It morphed into more and now the two are contemplating their futures with the women they love, and their futures with each other. If you think times are hard for the LGBT community now, think of how hard they were during the American Revolution. Winter Interlude is well developed, which is surprising given its short length.
