Carmello (Mello) has lived so long with his guilt over the accident that took his high school girlfriend's life, that he doesn't know how to live without the guilt. He deals with his guilt by living the lifestyle of a commitment-phobe player, but it never seems to fill the hole in his heart. Then he meets a beautiful woman and saves her twice. She leaves an impression on him that he can't seem to forget. When he goes to his cousin Lily for help with finding a woman to settle down with, she knows just the right woman to help him. Imagine Mello's surprise when he's introduced to her...AGAIN.

Arlo's life has not been easy. She's disinclined to trust people, especially men, and she has no family. Then a beautiful stranger saves her, twice, and she's introduced to his large, loving but loud, family. So when his cousin Lily asks her for help to figure out how to get Mello to settle down, she's all in. She'll just have to make sure she doesn't fall in love, because it could be disastrous giving him her heart, and him rejecting her.

The Gallo family is the kind of family I love reading the most - large, loud and funny, but with so much love that they are more than willing to share with the right people. I love how they took Arlo in as one of their own, and gave her what she'd not had in so long. Singe was such an beautiful, emotional story, with both humor and pain, and incredible amounts of love. Mello and Arlo both had more than their fair share of demons, so it made perfect sense that they found peace, and happiness with each other.

You TV series

Wow, hubby and I watched You on Lifetime last night. It was creepy and suspenseful. Hubby likened it to Dexter , and I have to agree. Penn Badgley was on point - creepy, stalkery, but fascinating. I didn't think too much of Elizabeth Lail's acting, but I'm not sure if it was just that her character was bland, or if it was truly bad acting. Can't wait for next week!
