MY REVIEW
Riggs screwed up on his last gig so now he's being punished by his boss by being sent to the Venezuelan jungle to protect cardiologist Dr. Carter Rogers while he's out saving lives. The man's positively gorgeous, but he's prissy and snobby and Riggs can't wait to be done with this assignment. Until they form a physical and emotional connection that surprises both of them. Will this connection help, or hinder, them when the chips are down and they've been kidnapped by a weirdly monologue-spouting cartel leader?

Though Hijacked is completely implausible and improbable, I found it to be a lot of fun, and witty, and so hot. The contrast between Carter and Riggs is highlighted, and the two are definitely opposites. I liked them, especially Carter, and was definitely entertained at all their nonsense. I did want Riggs to stop being so hot and cold with poor Carter, but I kinda understood where he was coming from so was able to give him a little pass. And Carter forgave him so it all ended happily and that's good enough for me.

Review: One Little Lie by Whitney Barbetti

Review of One Little Lie by Whitney Barbetti ONE LITTLE LIE Hollis is a good girl with a crush on a broody musician. Unfortunately, that boy, Adam, hates her. Why? Because the chip on his shoulder leaves him thinking good girl, rich girl Hollis is a lemming like everyone else in their small town. Which makes it even more unfortunate when years after their high school encounter, Hollis' best friend tries to stick up for her and ends up telling her parents that Adam is the the boyfriend Hollis doesn't actually have. Oops. How will Hollis ever convince Adam to go along with her little lie? I really liked One Little Lie. Hollis is a really naive girl, but she has such a huge heart that I couldn't help but fall in love with her spirit. She's so sweet, so compassionate, the kind of person this world needs more of. Adam, on the other hand, eh, he didn't do much for me. His chip on the shoulder, broody asshole attitude did nothing to endear me to him, but because H...
