MY REVIEW

Jolene's been living her life as if she's about to die, because she is. Her terminal illness has the doctors giving up hope, and now she knows she's not much longer for this world. She has one more wish on her bucket list, though - to marry gorgeous star, Westley Britton. A TikTok proposal brings him into her life, but to what end? How can a terminal girl and the guy she's crazy about possibly have a happily ever after?

Wish Upon a Star is a sweet fairytale-like read. Jolene is the real star here with her bright, mostly positive outlook, her sweet soul, and her crush on equally sweet Wes. Though I did shed a few tears, this is much less tear-inducing than I had been expecting, and I definitely liked that about it. Don't make the mistake of thinking it's a fluffy Cinderella story, though, because it's not. It is a sweet story with emotional scenes, and all the heart you can imagine. Definitely an uplifting, engaging story that I am really glad I got to read.
