I broke the cardinal rule and slept with my sister’s best friend.
Granted, I’d just found out that I was now a single father to a three-year-old little girl and was low on willpower.
It should also be noted that there’s been sexual tension between us for years. There’s no way it would be a surprise if anyone in our small town found out. That is if we were telling people, which we’re not.
We’re in agreement to keep our affair a secret, especially since neither one of us do relationships.
You’ve probably figured it out already, but things didn’t go as planned.

MY REVIEW
Jed and Molly have been dancing around their attraction for years. They haven't really acted on it because she's his sister's best friend, and the last thing he wants to do is cause a strain in his sister's friendship. But one night, after Jed experiences the biggest shock of his life, they cross that line. Will they be able to keep it a secret, or will their family and friends sense that something has changed between them?
Molly has been fighting against her mother's (and hers) reputation for most of her life. When she and Jed first cross the line of friendship, she has a hard time keeping her long held unrequited feelings for him at bay. But when she thinks he might be using her, she puts a stop to whatever it is they're doing, because she can't allow her heart to be torn apart because of her reputation, and because Jed's equally commitment phobic heart doesn't do relationships or love.
Ah these Greenes...their father did a number on them, but none more so than on Jed. He didn't think he'd be a good father because his own was so bad. But with his rock, Molly, by his side, he slowly figured it out. By the time this story came to an end, I realized just why Molly loved him so much. Of course they didn't get to their ever after without overcoming obstacles like both their baggage, without some angst, and without doing a fair bit of growth on both their parts. Along with the adorable Emilia, they found happiness and became the cutest little unit. Now I'm all excited for more of the Greenes falling in love.
