Getting the call from her sister Sloane that she's getting married and wants Riley to meet him is the catalyst for great change in Riley's life. Never in her wildest fantasies did she imagine being around her soon to be brother-in-law (an Irish mobster) would mean she'd soon be taken by her own mobster, this one of the Russian persuasion. An assassin to be specific, one for the Bratva, one who's even more dangerous than Declan, the man her sister fell for. Now all Riley has to do is survive her imprisonment, and to make sure her heart doesn't get all ensnared by Malek.
Malek was fascinated by this little beauty from the moment he laid eyes on her. It was already too late for him when he found out she was related to the man he vowed revenge on. But taking her for himself will serve two purposes - satiate his fascination for her, and anger Declan, the man who killed his brother. He just has to make sure he doesn't give into the feelings he's already developing for her, because Russian assassins live in a world of danger, too dangerous for someone he might be falling in love with.
Whew! Malek and Riley set my Kindle on fire! They are so hot together that I could not stop reading once I started. They're being together truly changed the whole game between the Russians, the Irish, and the Italians, in ways I really was not expecting. I loved everything about them - the insane chemistry, the suspense and danger, and the way everything played out at the end. With each couple, I fall more in love with this world Geissinger has created - now I'm anxiously awaiting Spider's story, Brutal Vows.
