MY REVIEW
When bossy alpha, Stanton, rescues Stacey from her horrible date, it sets them on a rollercoaster. Stanton took one look at fiery Stacey and wanted her. So he pursued her with pure focus. Once he got her, though, now that's when things took a turn Stacey never expected. Now that asshole's back and bossier than ever, trying to control her and her life. Will she let him back in? Will she cede control to him? Or will this independent woman tell him to take a long walk off a short pier the way he deserves?
I loved Stacey. She's confident, independent and sassy. She had a really rough past but it only made her stronger. She deserved to be paired with someone her equal, someone who wasn't a controlling asshole. There's alpha, there's even alphahole, and then there's Stanton. He was something else, alpha without the softer traits the best alphas have when they fall in love. His controlling and bossy traits were overdone and over the top, and he never redeemed himself in my eyes. That's why the 3.5 stars. I loved the story itself, though, and Stacey, and it was great to see Easton, English & Tristian, so I couldn't go lower than the 3.5.
