BLURB
They called me the villain. Homewrecker.
The other woman.
But there’s something dangerous about mistakes. You don’t realize you’re making one until it’s too late…

“You haven’t changed at all,” Bridget said to me that day.
Those words hit me hard. I left, ready to start a new life for me and my daughter.
Now, years later, I’m working hard. Doesn’t matter how complicated it is or if the guilt gets to me.
I’m alive and he’s not.
But life throws me a curve ball when I’m not expecting it.
Intense grey eyes, killer smile, and the determination to tear my walls down. He knows my weakness, and a man like him is never afraid to use it against me. My four-year-old daughter.
I’m rewriting my story, unprepared for him. And I’m not ready for what destiny has in store for us.
Nicolaus Novak just might become my friend, my lover… the man who helps me to discover I deserve a happy ending… my unexpected savior.

Unexpected Savior is an angsty single parent/redemption romance inspired by British Bedmate.

MY REVIEW

Gina's made mistakes, many mistakes. However, she's moved beyond them now and is just trying her best to raise her daughter away from her past and all her bad behavior. Then she meets a man, Nic, who's ignited her interest in men, which had been in a decline since her ex ditched her and her daughter, Olivia, for a younger woman. Though Gina turns Nic down, numerous times, she knows eventually she isn't going to be able to resist him. Will she be able to give Nic more than just her body? Or is she too scarred by her past to give her heart?

Nic's world is tilted off its axis by Gina and her adorable daughter, Olivia. He's determined to get them in his life even though Gina has repeatedly turned him down. He knows she's the one, he just has to convince her that she and Olivia belong with him.

I loved Nic and Gina and Livy! Of the three, Gina did the most character development. I admit to questioning her in the beginning when her past came to light, but really she turned out to be a great character who just had some growth ahead of her before she could feel solid and able to give her all to love, to a relationship. Nic was absolutely swoon worthy, a charming sweetheart who fell instantly for a special woman with an even more special daughter. If you are in the mood for something with emotional substance, crazy intense chemistry, and a beautiful new family, I highly recommend Unexpected Savior. It definitely deserves its place in the Cocky Hero Club.

Review: Waiting for You by Kate McBrien

Review of Waiting for You by Kate McBrien Justin and Lucy are apart, but for how long? Lucy's staying with her parents, but knows she needs to get out and start living her life again. But when she gets a chance to go to London, it just may be her chance to reunite with the man whose soul has been entwined with hers for centuries upon centuries. But first, our two fated lovers will have to not only reunite, but stay together, beat the odds and the people and/or forces who are trying to keep them apart. Waiting for You is a great followup to Discovering You. Justin and Lucy's story is exciting and passionate, and the mystical/fantasy/paranormal aspect just adds another interesting layer to their already wonderful connection. I normally don't read a lot of paranormal/fantasy/sci-fi romance anymore, but I loved it here in Waiting for You. It's subtle, but ever present and as I said, just makes their story all the more intriguing. I can't wait for the conclusio...
