Review / Release Blitz: The Commander (Men of Hidden Justice #3) by Melanie Moreland

The Commander by Melanie Moreland is now live!

My instincts had always served me well.
Listening to my gut, the warning voice in my head that told me when to walk away.
I never failed to heed the signs.
Until the day she walked into my office.
I knew she would be trouble, but I ignored the alarm bells.
And then it was too late, and I fell. Hard.
A lie tore us apart, and I thought I'd lost her forever.
But now she's back—with a secret she's been keeping.
This time, I'm not letting her go.

MY REVIEW

Julian lives a lonely life as the Commander of Hidden Justice. He has no desire for love or a relationship until he hires a new secretary, Tally, and she calls to something deep inside him. But, though he wants her almost obsessively, he can't let her know who he really is, and it's that reticence to let her know the secrets in his life, in his world, that will put the biggest obstacle in their paths.

Tally cannot help but be attracted to her new boss. He's bossy and commanding and beyond hot. Will trusting Julian with her body, and more importantly, her heart, be the best thing she ever did? Or will it bring to her doorstep the darkness he tries to keep her away from?

Damn...these Men of Hidden Justice and the women that bring them to their knees just keep getting better with each story! I remember being intrigued by Julian in Matteo and Marcus' stories, and his own story turned out to be even better than I could have imagined. He's got the same protective and commanding traits the previous two do, only turned up a notch. I knew the woman he'd fall for would have to be his equal, and Tally was that for sure. Intense, intriguing and hotter than ever, I loved the way Tally and Julian found love with each other.

Meet Melanie Moreland
New York Times/USA Today bestselling author Melanie Moreland, lives a happy and content life in a quiet area of Ontario with her beloved husband of thirty-plus years and their rescue cat, Amber. Nothing means more to her than her friends and family, and she cherishes every moment spent with them.

While seriously addicted to coffee, and highly challenged with all things computer-related and technical, she relishes baking, cooking, and trying new recipes for people to sample. She loves to throw dinner parties, and also enjoys traveling, here and abroad, but finds coming home is always the best part of any trip.

Melanie loves stories, especially paired with a good wine, and enjoys skydiving (free falling over a fleck of dust) extreme snowboarding (falling down stairs) and piloting her own helicopter (tripping over her own feet.) She's learned happily ever afters, even bumpy ones, are all in how you tell the story.

Review: One Little Lie by Whitney Barbetti

Review of One Little Lie by Whitney Barbetti ONE LITTLE LIE Hollis is a good girl with a crush on a broody musician. Unfortunately, that boy, Adam, hates her. Why? Because the chip on his shoulder leaves him thinking good girl, rich girl Hollis is a lemming like everyone else in their small town. Which makes it even more unfortunate when years after their high school encounter, Hollis' best friend tries to stick up for her and ends up telling her parents that Adam is the the boyfriend Hollis doesn't actually have. Oops. How will Hollis ever convince Adam to go along with her little lie? I really liked One Little Lie. Hollis is a really naive girl, but she has such a huge heart that I couldn't help but fall in love with her spirit. She's so sweet, so compassionate, the kind of person this world needs more of. Adam, on the other hand, eh, he didn't do much for me. His chip on the shoulder, broody asshole attitude did nothing to endear me to him, but because H...

Coming back to my small Wyoming hometown was supposed to be temporary. I only planned to stay long enough to help my ailing mother and sort through the mess of my family’s old belongings. Instead, I somehow ended up living in Evan Ricci’s house. The single dad now owned a bunch of properties and one of them was the place I’d rented. He’d taken it off the market and moved in before I got there. I just never got the memo. Unfortunately, there was no other place in town available, so Evan let me stay. Evan—the guy my parents took in years a...
