Review / Release Blitz: It Was All The Pie's Fault (Meet Cute #1) by Elizabeth SaFleur

Release Date: February 22

Chloe believes in two things: Russell is her soulmate and her pies are magic. One bite of her cherry pie and he’ll declare her “the one.”

Jaded attorney Nick doesn't believe in magic OR Russell's intentions with Chloe. Pies making wishes come true? Pffft.

But she's perfect for him--as a fake girlfriend to appease his family-friendly boss. She's in love with someone else, after all. And, he doesn’t do love, especially not with someone so bubbly, so dewy-eyed, so … committed to marching down a wedding aisle.

Plus this girl needs help when it comes to men--a lot of it. He'll help her lure Russell into dreaded wedded bliss, and she'll pose as his date.

Except Chloe's wishes begin to go haywire--granting Nick's and turning all those fake kisses into smoking hot moments of passion.

It turns out Chloe’s not as innocent as he first thought.

A fake relationship, opposites attract, laugh out loud romantic comedy.

MY REVIEW

Chloe truly believes her pies have magic in them. That's why she wants the object of her undying crush, Russell, to take one bite and fall in love with her. But this guy, who kinda sorta is a hot, sweaty after a workout menace, keeps getting in the way. Why does cynical attorney Nick keep showing up and interfering in her plans? But when he offers her everything she wants in return for fake dating him to appease his boss, she can't say no. She'll just need to make sure the magic of her pies influences the right guy because Nick is absolutely not going to be the one she falls for or who falls for her in return. Definitely not. He's jaded, doesn't believe in the magic of her pies, or in love, and anyway he's not going to be around forever. So it will have to stay fake. Definitely fake. Yep...

Awwwww...I loved Nick and Chloe! This was so sweet and cute and funny and it just made me smile. How could I not fall in love with a heroine who believes her pies are magic, and the hot, sweet but disbelieving attorney who can't help but fall for someone his total opposite?! I have to admit that I was perhaps expecting this to be slightly more like SaFleur's previous hot BDSM writing, but this rom com is just as good in a much different way, in a different but no less entertaining way.

Review: Waiting for You by Kate McBrien

Review of Waiting for You by Kate McBrien Justin and Lucy are apart, but for how long? Lucy's staying with her parents, but knows she needs to get out and start living her life again. But when she gets a chance to go to London, it just may be her chance to reunite with the man whose soul has been entwined with hers for centuries upon centuries. But first, our two fated lovers will have to not only reunite, but stay together, beat the odds and the people and/or forces who are trying to keep them apart. Waiting for You is a great followup to Discovering You. Justin and Lucy's story is exciting and passionate, and the mystical/fantasy/paranormal aspect just adds another interesting layer to their already wonderful connection. I normally don't read a lot of paranormal/fantasy/sci-fi romance anymore, but I loved it here in Waiting for You. It's subtle, but ever present and as I said, just makes their story all the more intriguing. I can't wait for the conclusio...
