Review / Release Blitz: Bridge of Lies (Speak No Evil Trilogy #2) by Nana Malone

Bridge of Lies by Nana Malone is now live!

Betrayal was such a simple word. But such a complex emotion. The woman I loved had turned her back on me. Taken everything I'd offered and thrown it away.

I may have vowed to protect her, but she's thrown down the gauntlet. And no matter how much I crave her, there will be consequences.

Emma Varma might be the beauty, but now she'll meet the beast. I'll keep my vow. I'll keep her safe from our enemies.

But her soul and her heart will no longer be safe with me.

MY REVIEW

Oh boy but Bridge is upset with his Emma! She pulled a tstl moment at the end of London Bridge, and it's got him all upset. So now he's set on treating Emma as the enemy. But she's not of course; she is, however, a very determined woman intent on finding who killed her brother. In London Bridge, she was already upset with Bridge and co. for not looping her in on their plans for bringing down the people responsible, and now that she has the chance herself to do something? Yeah, she's not about to bail, even if it's dangerous for her and could cause her fake hubs to view her actions as a betrayal. And now the two of them will need to get on the same page, figure out how they're going to take down the enemy, and dodge all the danger they're in themselves. Oh and a little tiny thing like work on their so called fake marriage.

I thought London Bridge was all intense and suspenseful with its crafting of the tension between Emma and Bridge, and giving us layers of secrets and suspense, but Bridge of Lies takes all that and amps everything up by a hundred at least. It's completely obvious to everyone but each other and themselves, that Bridge and Emma's marriage is anything but fake, just as it's obvious that Emma is no wilting wallflower, isn't about to allow Bridge to run her life and make decisions for her. She will do things on her own, even at great danger to herself, go rogue, if she can help, and it's this crux that has Bridge all up in arms. I smirked the whole time even as I worried for Emma, but I loved how she flouted her very alpha hubby's bossy directives. I'm anxiously awaiting their conclusion, hoping Emma will be OK, that she and Bridge will get their shit together, and that Toby's murder will be avenged.

Meet Nana
USA Today Bestseller, Nana Malone's love of all things romance and adventure started with a tattered romantic suspense she "borrowed" from her cousin.

It was a sultry summer afternoon in Ghana, and Nana was a precocious thirteen. She's been in love with kick butt heroines ever since. With her overactive imagination, and channeling her inner Buffy, it was only a matter a time before she started creating her own characters.

While she waits for her chance at a job as a ninja assassin, in the meantime Nana works out her drama, passion, and sass with fictional characters every bit as sassy and kick butt as she thinks she is.

Review: Waiting for You by Kate McBrien

Review of Waiting for You by Kate McBrien Justin and Lucy are apart, but for how long? Lucy's staying with her parents, but knows she needs to get out and start living her life again. But when she gets a chance to go to London, it just may be her chance to reunite with the man whose soul has been entwined with hers for centuries upon centuries. But first, our two fated lovers will have to not only reunite, but stay together, beat the odds and the people and/or forces who are trying to keep them apart. Waiting for You is a great followup to Discovering You. Justin and Lucy's story is exciting and passionate, and the mystical/fantasy/paranormal aspect just adds another interesting layer to their already wonderful connection. I normally don't read a lot of paranormal/fantasy/sci-fi romance anymore, but I loved it here in Waiting for You. It's subtle, but ever present and as I said, just makes their story all the more intriguing. I can't wait for the conclusio...
