Review / Release Blitz: Kissing Games (Kissing Creek #2) by Stefanie London

Kissing Games by Stefanie London is now live!

The effervescent, quirky romantic comedy from USA Today bestselling author Stefanie London...

Injured pro baseball player Ryan Bower has plenty of reasons for not sleeping. But thanks to a steamy romance novel that's ignited the imaginations–and libidos—of pretty much everyone in Kissing Creek, Ryan's kept awake by the sound of his parents. Having sex. Unforgivably gross. And Ryan is almost certain that the town's adorably quirky and troublemaking librarian is responsible.

Sloane Rickman adores everything about her little town—with the exception of its very tall and infuriatingly sexy Golden Boy. Ryan Bower may be a ball-playing hottie, but where exactly does he get off telling her what books to recommend to her oddball little book club? Good thing he's only in town for the fall.

Now Sloane and Ryan are stuck planning the main float for the town's parade. But somewhere between arguments over paint colors and papier mâché flowers, their fights keep turning into red-hot kisses. And between Ryan's demanding ball career and Sloane's life in Kissing Creek, they face the biggest game of their lives...if they're ready to play for keeps.

MY REVIEW

While rehabbing a torn ACL that's taken him away from his baseball career, Ryan's come back home to his family. His parents have been showing their enthusiastic support of their book club's new read, and it's driving him out of his mind listening to them. Then he walks into the quirkiest, most annoying woman named Sloane, and suddenly his hometown is looking more and more interesting. But, he won't be home forever, so if he and Sloane start something, she needs to understand that it's without strings and no feelings can be involved. No problem, a rehab fling is just what he needs - if only his heart, and Sloane's, agreed.

Sloane's moved from place to place all over the world thanks to her parents, but thinks she's finally found a place she can settle down and call home. She has a great job as a librarian, she's bought a cute house, and the people here have welcomed her, even if she doesn't have any close friends yet. Then a gorgeous guy waltzes into her library and there's chemistry right away between them. At first it's the antagonistic kind, but as they start to work together on a town project, she can't help but fall for Ryan, even knowing he won't be around for much longer. She will just have to accept he's leaving soon and have her fun while it lasts. A fling is just what she needs...

The way Sloane and Ryan met was hilarious, and I love that Sloane did not back down when he grumped at her for his discomfort thanks to her book club suggestion that had his parents re-enacting all the scenes. Their chemistry was obvious from their first page, there was lots of witty snark, and I loved how adorably quirky and sweet Sloane was. Ryan was perfect for her, and I was cheering them on as they fell so hard for each other.

Review: Winter Interlude: An American Revolutionary Novelette (American Revolutionary Tales 2) by Regina Kammer

Review of Winter Interlude: An American Revolutionary Novelette by Regina Kammer Captain Samuel Taylor and Lieutenant Patrick Hamilton recall their first steamy encounter, which was a MFM threesome in a brothel. It morphed into more and now the two are contemplating their futures with the women they love, and their futures with each other. If you think times are hard for the LGBT community now, think of how hard they were during the American Revolution. Winter Interlude is well developed, which is surprising given its short length. I am so interested in knowing what is to become of Samuel and Patrick's forbidden relationship. Do they stay together? Or do they go their separate ways, and live out their lives with their women? Now that they've admitted their love for each other, how impossible would it be for them to be without each other? I have to know, now! If you like MM fiction and/or historical fiction, I highly recommend you give Winter Interlude a read. It...
