Review / Release Blitz: The Love Playbook by Jerica MacMillan

The Love Playbook by Jerica MacMillan is live!

Jackson Lancaster is a mystery. At least to me.

He's not your typical jock at all—shy, studious, and apparently not looking to get all the action he can.

I know, I know, stereotypes are bad. But if the shoe fits ...

Except in this case, it doesn't. At all. In fact, I don't think I've ever seen Jackson with anyone, male, female, or otherwise.

When I learn that it's lack of experience holding him back—not lack of interest, and definitely not lack of opportunity—I find myself drawn to the idea of helping him out.

I've been looking for a project. And it seems like teaching Jackson the ways of love and pleasure is just the project I need.

The Love Playbook is a standalone love tutor romance featuring a shy, straight-laced football player and the off beat woman who turns his world upside down. HEA guaranteed!

MY REVIEW

Jackson is so inexperienced that he has no idea that girls are flirting with him when they giggle around him, caress him, and generally act interested. Asking his sister about it was embarrassing as hell, but she confirmed the idea for him. Now he has to decide if he's going to take Autumn up on her offer to help him, be his love tutor or not. He's not sure what to do or if she's even still interested in tutoring him any longer. Will taking her up on her offer be the best move he's ever made, or will it end up with him being heartbroken?

Autumn does not do relationships, commitment or love. She is who she is and lives her life the way she wants. When she is attracted to someone, she does something about it, all without feelings involved. Then Jackson happened to her, or should I say, she happened to Jackson. Offering to teach him the ways of pleasure and dating (even though she doesn't really date) seems like a good idea. The guy is so gorgeous but so clueless that he was begging for her to help him out. But will she be the one who catches feelings this time? Or will she allow her past to color her behavior and hurt the guy she only wanted to help?

The Love Playbook is sweet and fun, and Jackson is about the most adorable sweetheart I've read in a long time. I don't read a lot of virgin hero stories but I'm really glad I read this one because I loved it. They had great chemistry and were cute together. I was a little upset with Autumn near the end, but considering she had some pretty bad role models, she got a pass. I can't wait for the next college story from Jerica now.

They sweep me off my feet and are always there when I need them—in my purse, in my car, and even in my bathtub. Book boyfriends may not be real, but at least they won’t break my heart… or get another girl pregnant. I don’t do relationships. I get one whiff and run in the opposite direction. Review: Winter Interlude: An American Revolutionary Novelette (American Revolutionary Tales 2) by Regina Kammer

Review of Winter Interlude: An American Revolutionary Novelette by Regina Kammer Captain Samuel Taylor and Lieutenant Patrick Hamilton recall their first steamy encounter, which was a MFM threesome in a brothel. It morphed into more and now the two are contemplating their futures with the women they love, and their futures with each other. If you think times are hard for the LGBT community now, think of how hard they were during the American Revolution. Winter Interlude is well developed, which is surprising given its short length. I am so interested in knowing what is to become of Samuel and Patrick's forbidden relationship. Do they stay together? Or do they go their separate ways, and live out their lives with their women? Now that they've admitted their love for each other, how impossible would it be for them to be without each other? I have to know, now! If you like MM fiction and/or historical fiction, I highly recommend you give Winter Interlude a read. It...
