MY REVIEW

Magnus MacTaggert is a fearsome bounty hunter who always gets his target. Then one tiny slip of a woman gets the best of him, more than once. Magnus doesn't even care that Piper says she's innocent. If his client pays him to capture a bounty, he does it, regardless of said bounty's guilt or innocence. But now that he's finally captured Piper, for the last time, he's starting to feel niggles in his mind about handing her over to his client. Her proclaimed innocence just might be starting to matter. His intense attraction to her may have something to do with that...

Piper's been on the run, wrongly accused of murdering her boss, when a gorgeous bounty hunter captures her, in more ways than one. But she has more to worry about than the sparks that fly between the two of them. He not only doesn't care that she's innocent, but is intent on handing her over to the one man she's trying to get away from. When Magnus brings her into his world and his family, will their developing feelings help or hinder her with the race to clear her name? It's always fun being back in the world of the hot Scots, the MacTaggert clan. Magnus has always intrigued me from his first introduction in the series - I knew his backstory would be interesting, and boy is it. He's paired with equally interesting, and lovable, Piper, who bests the alpha as ever Magnus every time she opens her mouth and throws sass. Magnus not only likes her sass, he revels in it, and ultimately loves it, as much as he loves her. Their chemistry is smoking, the pace is action packed and fast, and I fell in love with this hot couple. Now I can't wait for more of the MacTaggerts when Errol gets his story.
