Review / Release Blitz: Unlikely Date (Calloway Brothers #1) by Samantha Christy

One blind date changes everything.

Unlikely Date, a steamy, playboy meets good girl contemporary romance from Amazon bestselling author Samantha Christy, is available now!

Town playboy.
CEO extraordinaire.
Monumental prick.
And my blind date.

Tag Calloway is toxic. If you aren’t in his small inner circle of friends, you’re nothing.
An inconvenience at best.
And it’s just my luck that my first blind date—heck, my first date since ‘The Incident’––happens to be with him.
I’ve spent years hiding myself from men. From life. Wallowing in guilt and camouflaging my body.
I live for one reason. Gigi. The broken-condom accident who has become the singular light of my life.
Why did I let my friends talk me into this?
He’s the last person I should trust with my feelings. My body. My scars.

But when our night turns into something I never expected, common sense fails me and I fall hard, knowing this time, it won’t be my body that suffers gruesome damage, it will be my heart.

MY REVIEW

Maddie's been hiding herself from everyone thanks to both exterior and interior scars. She lives for her adorable daughter and hasn't dated in a long time. Then along comes cocky asshole playboy Tag and he gets under her skin and shows he's more than just his reputation. She's very resistant to anything resembling a relationship, though, and Tag's got his work cut out for him if he wants to prove he's the right man for her and Gigi. Will Maddie ever see herself the way Tag does? Will she let him into their lives completely?

Ooooh I wanted to hate Tag, and I did, for awhile. But that man had a beautiful soul locked deep inside him, and when it came out, i fell hard for him, just as Maddie finally did. Their banter was snarky, witty and loaded with tension, and I laughed more than once at their antics. But really the best part of this awesome story was Gigi, the most precocious, adorable little girl that I've read in a very long time. She stole every scene she was in, and ones she wasn't in. The three of them plus their circle of friends and family gave me a fun, at times angsty, entertaining story. I am anxiously awaiting more Calloway brothers now!

About Samantha Christy
Samantha Christy’s passion for writing started long before her first novel was published. Graduating from the University of Nebraska with a degree in Criminal Justice, she held the title of Computer Systems Analyst for The Supreme Court of Wisconsin and several major universities around the United States. Raised mainly in Indianapolis, but also living in Lincoln, NE for a time, she decided to devote herself to family upon the birth of her third child and became a stay-at-home mom. When she is not writing, she keeps busy cruising to every Caribbean island ships sail to. Samantha Christy currently resides near St. Augustine, Florida with her husband and the two of her four children who haven’t flown the nest. Oh, and her dog, Ozzy, who she worships and thinks is the most adorable Whoodle on the planet.

Review: Winter Interlude: An American Revolutionary Novelette (American Revolutionary Tales 2) by Regina Kammer

Review of Winter Interlude: An American Revolutionary Novelette by Regina Kammer Captain Samuel Taylor and Lieutenant Patrick Hamilton recall their first steamy encounter, which was a MFM threesome in a brothel. It morphed into more and now the two are contemplating their futures with the women they love, and their futures with each other. If you think times are hard for the LGBT community now, think of how hard they were during the American Revolution. Winter Interlude is well developed, which is surprising given its short length. I am so interested in knowing what is to become of Samuel and Patrick's forbidden relationship. Do they stay together? Or do they go their separate ways, and live out their lives with their women? Now that they've admitted their love for each other, how impossible would it be for them to be without each other? I have to know, now! If you like MM fiction and/or historical fiction, I highly recommend you give Winter Interlude a read. It
