Faith has come to Kauai to work on herself. For too long she's been the irresponsible partier, burning the candle on both ends, and now it's come back to bite her in the rear. Her boss has sent her on forced leave, to think about things, to come back with a clear head to prove that she deserves her place in his company. But so far all she's done on this island paradise is find out the sandals she thought were fit for hiking, are in fact, not fit at all. But at least she got to meet a gorgeous firefighter when he came to rescue her. Can she get a smile out of this man, or perhaps a lot more than just a smile?
Asher's life is his family. He has taken care of and protected his brother Morgan their whole lives. Now there's his sister in law, his nephew, and Nomi. So his place is with them. But when a breath of fresh air of a city girl sweeps her way into his life, he's wondering if there's a place in his life elsewhere. She's not in Kauai permanently, is there a way he can be with her when she lives away from his home?
Beautifully moving with heart, Between Hello and Goodbye is such a memorable read. Faith exhibits immense character growth, going from living life in the fast paced city, to realizing that love and family are what truly make life worth living. And then there's my grumpy firefighter, oh boy did I hurt for him. He had so much on his shoulders, felt he always had to be strong for his family, then along comes someone who wants to be the strong one for him. I may have shed a few (or more) tears as I read along with this beautiful couple as they fell in love and figured out how to be together.
