Review / Release Blitz: Faded in Bloom (The Seasons Change #3) by Julia Wolf

Release Date: June 16

I know three things about my neighbor, Adam Wainwright.
        1. He liked to play his guitar on his balcony, often in his underwear.
        2. He lives up to his f-boy reputation.
        3. He must never, ever exist outside of the Friend Zone.

But the problem with number three is over the last year, he’s become my everything.

Adam’s the best friend I’ve ever had. The one who pushes me to follow dreams I’d written off as impossible.

We have strict lines that we don’t cross. Even when we blur them on occasion by playing you can look but you can’t touch, the lines are always there, guarding our friendship.

Taunting me with possibility.

Anytime he’s near, butterflies wage war in my stomach, desperately wanting those possibilities to become reality.

But me and my stupid butterflies are alone in that desire.

Adam Wainwright will never be mine, and I can no longer watch him be everyone else’s.

I don’t know how this will all go down, but one thing I do know?

I’m going to ruin our friendship.

MY REVIEW

Adelaide's developed a friendship somehow with her playboy rockstar neighbor, Adam. And despite telling herself not to ruin her friendship by falling for him, idiotically she's done just that. Now she's got to do something about it even if it means breaking her own (and Adam's) heart.

Adam's Baddie is his rock. Never has he had a woman be his everything the way she is. Then he comes back from tour and suddenly she's not his rock anymore, she's seemingly nothing to him, not even around any longer. He needs to figure out what happened and how to fix it because not having his best friend hurts. But when he comes to the realization that he's done what he always does, and messed up, it could be just the thing to make him take a good hard look at himself and the way he conducts his relationships. Will it mean a shift in his and Adelaide's relationship? Or will he revert back to the player everyone, including himself, thinks he is?

The angst, the back and forth, the severe mis and non-communication was high between these two. At times it was too much for me and I wanted to DNF. I'm glad I didn't though, because I ended up liking this story. I wanted them to get their shit together much sooner, and I wanted to smack Adam for being so completely oblivious for so long, but ultimately I was glad they finally found love and happiness together.

Review: One Little Lie by Whitney Barbetti

Review of One Little Lie by Whitney Barbetti ONE LITTLE LIE Hollis is a good girl with a crush on a broody musician. Unfortunately, that boy, Adam, hates her. Why? Because the chip on his shoulder leaves him thinking good girl, rich girl Hollis is a lemming like everyone else in their small town. Which makes it even more unfortunate when years after their high school encounter, Hollis' best friend tries to stick up for her and ends up telling her parents that Adam is the the boyfriend Hollis doesn't actually have. Oops. How will Hollis ever convince Adam to go along with her little lie? I really liked One Little Lie. Hollis is a really naive girl, but she has such a huge heart that I couldn't help but fall in love with her spirit. She's so sweet, so compassionate, the kind of person this world needs more of. Adam, on the other hand, eh, he didn't do much for me. His chip on the shoulder, broody asshole attitude did nothing to endear me to him, but because H...
