Blurb:
Asher Stevens is a legend when it comes to Wildcat football. If the gossip that swirls through campus is true, he’ll be one of this year’s top NFL draft picks. To say I can’t stand the guy is a major understatement. Other women might be taken in by his handsome face, chiseled body, and athletic prowess, but not me. I see him for what he is—a muscle bound, steroid-infused meathead who drinks like a fish, smokes weed, and screws like he’s been sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of conjugal visits.

So what if my pulse trips every time our gazes collide?

Or my panties dampen when he lays hands on me?

It means nothing.

After three and a half years of steering clear, it seems like my luck has finally run out. Everywhere I go, there he is.

Needling me at the restaurant where I work—check.

Colliding on campus when I’m running late—double check.

Showing up in a parking lot after an accident—triple check.

No matter what I do, I can’t get away from the guy.

To make matters worse, my life is on the verge of imploding and the one person I want to avoid like the plague is the very same one who comes to my rescue, making me an offer I can’t refuse. One that involves spending time alone with him when that’s the last thing I want to do.

You know what scares me most?

The fleeting glimpses I catch buried beneath all the hype. The ones that suggest he’s deeper and more intelligent than I suspected.

Resisting the campus legend is easy.

Resisting the man he’s slowly revealing himself to be isn’t.

MY REVIEW

Lola's run-ins with the campus golden boy Asher haven't exactly endeared him to her. So what to do when she becomes his tutor? Perhaps they'll learn things about each other neither had expected. She might find that though his life seems luxurious, his parents have taught him that without sports he'd be nothing. And he might find that not everyone's life is as easy as his. After all, he's been skating through life, smoking out, enjoying groupies, and playing football, without a thought to more, to the fact that he could be more, that there would be a woman who sees the real him.

Lola is the kind of heroine I love most - loving, independent and so strong. Her life had taught her to never depend on anyone but herself, but she still had a beautiful heart and always put others ahead of herself, even to her own detriment. I admit to wondering how Asher could possibly be good enough for her at the beginning of their story, he seemed such an insensitive fuckboy, but the way Lola caused him to change, to grow, or more precisely, made him want to change, was honestly quite beautiful. Their chemistry was smokin' hot, their relationship changed and grew in a very natural, organic way, and I was so cheering them on as soon as they realized they weren't enemies any longer. I loved this story and am really sad that this series has come to an end.

They sweep me off my feet and are always there when I need them—in my purse, in my car, and even in my bathtub. Book boyfriends may not be real, but at least they won’t break my heart… or get another girl pregnant. I don’t do relationships. I get one whiff and run in the opposite direction. It took me seven years to mend my broken heart, and I’m not about to hand it over again. That’s why I can’t fall for Beckett. Review: Winter Interlude: An American Revolutionary Novelette (American Revolutionary Tales 2) by Regina Kammer

Review of Winter Interlude: An American Revolutionary Novelette by Regina Kammer Captain Samuel Taylor and Lieutenant Patrick Hamilton recall their first steamy encounter, which was a MFM threesome in a brothel. It morphed into more and now the two are contemplating their futures with the women they love, and their futures with each other. If you think times are hard for the LGBT community now, think of how hard they were during the American Revolution. Winter Interlude is well developed, which is surprising given its short length. I am so interested in knowing what is to become of Samuel and Patrick's forbidden relationship. Do they stay together? Or do they go their separate ways, and live out their lives with their women? Now that they've admitted their love for each other, how impossible would it be for them to be without each other? I have to know, now! If you like MM fiction and/or historical fiction, I highly recommend you give Winter Interlude a read. It
