MY REVIEW
All That Lies Between Us
Addison needs a breather after catching her fiancé cheating her and her father firing her and taking her fiancé's side. A vacation is just the thing for her and her friend, but a vacation fling? Could a fling with the gorgeous guy next door be the cure to what ails her? Or will it break her even more than catching her cheating fiancé and getting fired?
Chase is instantly attracted to the new woman in town, but he's got secrets, and it's those secrets that come back to bite him in the ass when things come to a close at the end of All That Lies Between Us. Just leaving Addison probably shouldn't have been his knee jerk reaction, but then again, his head's not in the right place now. Will he ever be able to redeem himself in Addison's eyes?
The cliffhanger was a doozy, and definitely kept me on edge waiting for the conclusion. I liked Addison but have to admit Chase is not my favorite character after having just left her with no word.
All That Lies Ahead
We get answers and Addison is privy to Chase's secret now. So what will she do, how will she react? Honestly, I felt for and wanted better for her than the bs Chase gave her. She handled everything like a saint. I know I wouldn't have reacted nearly as gracefully as Addison did. But I appreciated how strong she was and how much she had fallen for Chase, even if he didn't deserve her heart.
This duet is a rollercoaster of emotions, there's a theme running through it that life is short, so don't hold back your love if can. I admit to wanting better for Addison, but aside from my dislike of Chase, I liked this duet with its heart and the spectrum of feelings it evoked.
