MY REVIEW

Billie, Dare (Devlin), and Eddie were a trio of Daredevils and best friends. A horrific accident tore them apart, though, and now years later, Billie's still distancing herself from everyone, friend and family alike. She feels guilt, self-recrimination, and can't get over the tight feeling in her chest when she thinks of the situation and her old friend and one time partner. Dare, though, has spent the years since just trying to get back to his Billie. She's the one for him and he's determined to get her back, not just into his life, but back to her old self.

Heart, so much heart! Dare and Billie's story had the heart, the angst factor was high, and their chemistry that only people who have known each other as long as they, have. I shed more than one tear as Dare guided Billie back to her old self, healed her broken heart, and helped her shed guilt she didn't deserve to carry around. There's a whole crew of wonderful supporting cast, including old friends and characters from Melissa's other series, and I am so very impatient for more of these Whiskeys now.
