MY REVIEW
Ryder's out of the SEALs thanks to a newly discovered degenerative disease. But it doesn't mean his life is over, does it? No. Especially when he finds out he has a daughter. But now he needs help with that beautiful little girl he's just found. But what to do when the nanny turns out to be the ons he hasn't stopped thinking about? Does he give in to their intense chemistry? Or for the sake of his daughter, try to keep it professional?
Ember came to this small town to start over and get away from a life she feared. She did not come here to find love or a relationship, but she's not sure she can resist Ryder for much longer. The chemistry they have is is so hot that it doesn't seem to matter that she's here to be the nanny to his little girl. But when the very thing she was running from comes back to threaten her, Ryder just may be the exact right person to protect her. And she may find this new life is exactly what and who she really wants, and not the bright lights of Nashville.
The is a good addition to The Salvation Society. Ryder and Ember are a great couple once they get past their initial objections. And Ryder is the kind of alpha I like best - commanding and tough but with a big heart. Really the only problem I had with this story is a nitpicky detail, Ryder is a former Navy SEAL (as in Sea Air Land), not a Seal (as in an animal). If you're going to write about a SEAL, please get his designation correct!
