MY REVIEW
Francesca's got someone after her and now her team has hired security. She doesn't want a security team invading her home, invading her life, and she especially doesn't want him. Simon's gotten under her skin in just a short time, so much so that she's about to refuse him, and tell Stark she wants someone else. Until Simon's the only one making sense. Now she's stuck with this guy who obviously can't stand her anymore than she can stand him. But will close proximity have them digging deep and finding neither is quite who they had thought?
These 1,001 Dark Nights novellas are always so much fun, giving the reader a glimpse into one of the author's worlds. In this case, it's the Stark world, and what a world! I honestly wish Charmed by You were a lot longer, and that we had gotten more of the actual Stark in here, because I love that world and all the security operatives in it. Simon, to his credit, though, is an interesting character, actually, the best part of his story, and feels like he fits perfectly into Stark. I wasn't that impressed with Francesca for most of the story, but she did redeem herself by the end. For a novella, this is a fun story with an interesting mystery and a couple with hot chemistry. I just want it to be longer, more developed, and with a relationship arc that was more drawn out so I could have gotten to enjoy them fully as a couple.
