Review / Release Blitz: Just One Kiss (The Kingston Family #6) by Carly Phillips

Release Date: August 16

It was supposed to be one fun night of hot sex.

It turned into a second. Then a third.

Now Mother Nature is having the last word—with a secret baby surprise!

Jade Dare has done everything in her power to overcome her mother’s unstable influence. Changed her name. Became a success. Vowed never to risk passing on the potential for inherited pain. What has it gotten her? One fiancé who wanted her for money. A second who cheated on her with his brother’s wife.

Now she's sworn off men. Or at least off serious relationships. But when the chance to indulge in a one night stand with a man she’s secretly fantasized about arrives, she jumps in. Only to land heart-first into a case of the feels she can’t bring herself to trust.

Knox Sinclair always suspected he liked his brother’s fiancé a little too much, that’s why he kept his hands to himself. But with ties broken and Jade all too willing, a no-strings-attached night sounds like a damned good idea.

Except one night isn’t nearly enough. But while Knox is busy convincing Jade they have a chance at forever, the past is planning one last parting shot.

MY REVIEW

Knox has been dragged to a wedding show by his sister, and while not exactly looking forward to it, he's glad to be with Holly when her fiancé is out of town. Then he sees a blast from his past - Jade Dare - his stepbrother's ex, Knox's friend's sister, and even more beautiful and alluring than ever. Now he's really glad his sister's got such a matchmaking heart. But will the one night they agree to be enough? For him? Or for her?

Jade's on a man fast. She has two disastrous relationships behind her and now she's not looking for another. No men. No relationships. Definitely no love. But when her most previous ex's stepbrother, Knox, comes to a wedding show where Jade is presenting, she finds herself remembering how much she had always been drawn to him. But she has no time or inclination for a relationship, so a night will have to do. Until it's not enough. Neither is one more. Or two or three more. Is this leading where it seems to be leading?

Jade and Knox's story is exactly why I love Carly's writing so much - the two leads are lovable and likable with baggage and layers, but just so worthy of love. There are some heavy themes - mental health awareness for instance, but written with care and a deft hand, but everything is leading to love and happiness hard fought for, and so deserved by this wonderful couple who have chemistry in spades.

Review: Winter Interlude: An American Revolutionary Novelette (American Revolutionary Tales 2) by Regina Kammer

Review of Winter Interlude: An American Revolutionary Novelette by Regina Kammer Captain Samuel Taylor and Lieutenant Patrick Hamilton recall their first steamy encounter, which was a MFM threesome in a brothel. It morphed into more and now the two are contemplating their futures with the women they love, and their futures with each other. If you think times are hard for the LGBT community now, think of how hard they were during the American Revolution. Winter Interlude is well developed, which is surprising given its short length. I am so interested in knowing what is to become of Samuel and Patrick's forbidden relationship. Do they stay together? Or do they go their separate ways, and live out their lives with their women? Now that they've admitted their love for each other, how impossible would it be for them to be without each other? I have to know, now! If you like MM fiction and/or historical fiction, I highly recommend you give Winter Interlude a read. It...
